If Nelson Mandela taught anything to the world it is the importance of forgiveness. So as we all ponder the sad passing of the World's Greatest Human I think we should take this opportunity to forgive Paul Cooke. It's the right thing to do.

(And if Jesus ever gets round to coming back and dying for the man's sins then I reckon we could forgive David Lloyd as well. Maybe.)

Paul Cooke has 1 of the best rugby brains in attack in this country. & his knowledge of the game will bring any youngster on.

Agree with that. He made a bad decision which cost him a lot of money and pretty much killed his career, but he's carried on, turned himself around and earned a coaching role.

Respect to the kid for that and I hope he makes a real go of it.

SO sorry to upset, some of you with poor memories, but it is my heart-felt opinion, that this person,

should never be allowed, any-where near our club, he was not 12 years old when he did it, he knew

exactly what it would mean to ALL the fans of Hullfc. I hope to god this is the only very bad mistake

really, a convicted murdering terrorist? He became a great man eventually, no doubt, and his legacy is important and lasting. But he was NOT the worlds greatest human.

Cookie left hull for a few reasons.... Kath H was one & more money was another. I did not like that he left our club for KR but he needed a change. He was my coach at easts as he went through this part of his career some of the things he went through by so called FC fans at this time was disgusting. Its a short career & money is a massive part of it as its a short lived income to the players.

Get over it and move on.

We all make mistakes in life Doncar, speaking as a Dons fan Paul has done a great job on and off the field in his time at Doncaster . I am glad our management at the time got him on board & glad he accepted .

Surely only someone who supports the idea of apartheid would sink to calling Mandela what you have just a few days after his death.It would be interesting to find out at what point you thought he became a great man.

Cooke tried to get a better deal (bad advice, I hear) and ended up worse off for it. It was his mistake and the very poor administration at the club that allowed the situation to happen, but you won't remember that.

Try not to boo him too hard next month, you might burst a bloodvessel.

Yes off course i have made mistakes, lots of them. i have lived a long time. This man,ONLY had to do the right
thing, and asked to be placed on the tranfer list, then his desired club would buy him of Hullfc, that would
have been the decent thing to do, but no he tried to cause the team, that was paying him wages, which
he was collecting quite happily, up to the point when he was informed that, the other team, would pay him more !! I too was not overly fond of our management team, of the time, but i believe they were not to
blame for what Cooke decided to do, and i remember his joy when his new club beat us,
