Seymour getting better as the season goes on, his quick passes out wide are a real threat. Also good in defence, and as already been said, Heremaia will take his game another step up.

As for Horney, we know he doesn't have a good long kicking game so why does the team persistently rely on him to do so? He supported well on a few occassions yesterday, played a good part in our best try (our last try), and all he needed to do was catch the bleedin ball on Briscoe's break for another good try.

Ellis came on, put one kick in, found the floor and turned the opposition around. Something Horne couldn't manage the entire game.

But, like I say, Horne never has had a decent long kicking game and Ellis has. Why we persist in giving Horney the ball on the last tackle is beyond me, Seymour or Houghton have better long kicks, or Heremaia when he's in the team.

On occasion Horne has ran into the line well, however he does not excel at a particular skill...a good number 6 should either kick well or be unpredictable with very good hands. Horne however doesn't have any of these qualities and i'd really like to see Ellis play there on friday

So what does he bring to the team? I keep hearing he's having a good season, compared to what or who? People keep banging on about assists but I don't see the validity in an assist when its a drop off to Manu and Manu single handedly beating a defence.

That's all very well us being 3rd but were not a 3rd place team, we're a 6th at best side this year. Why? Because we don't have a good enough squad, if we want to compete at the top we need a top class 6, Horne isn't that. But 6 isn't the only position we need to strengthen.

Good short kicking game, been supporting well this season and also defending pretty solid. Yes, he doesn't have that turn of pace like he used to, and I've said a couple of days ago that we do need another 6 to take us forward, but I believe Horney is having a decent enough season this year and we have higher priorities then replacing him.

We are third in the league table and we have not pecked yet .Like I have posted enjoy the moment thing will get better .If players are giving the all that will do me .They don't have to be World beaters (just yet ) that will come in time .We have got something to cheer at last

He has an alright short kicking game. No pace, no ball handling, no kicking game. I would argue that for us to kick on, an improved 6 is just as important as a centre IMO.

I'm sorry, but Horne has never been nor will he ever be a world beater. It's easy to get sentimental about him, he's been loyal, dedicated and a true professional as well as battling through his neck injury and then his diabetes. But to compete at the highest level we need a better 6. I'd like to think there is still a place for him in our squad as a utility back but I'm sure he won't be happy with that, which is fair enough.

Were have I posted R Horne is a World beater I look at rugby league has a team game If players are giving everything for the Club I am happy .Over the years I have seen the good and bad times .Hull are looking more like a team now then they have over the passed few years under other people .Now somebody else is giving it a go and they are getting thing right .Let wait and see were Hull end the season then state what type of team they are ,Be it top 4 or what ever.Like I have posted enjoy the ride while it last .With luck it could be a great season for us

This. I don't blame Horne for not having a good long kicking game, I blame our coaching for still insisting on asking him to do what he is patently not capable of.
