I know my memories not what it should be but I could have sworn it was a saturday at wilderspool. then again I was pi$$ed alot back then what with no kids and wife in tow.

Meetings at charlston club in the Lloyd era but i do remember one funny moment at a meeting.Seeing a chair with a tennis racket and ball on it,because we all knew Lloyd would not turn up.


The death of Clive Sullivan.

Didn't travel away in those days so I'm almost certain it was the Boulevard. But I can't be 100% now you've mentioned it.

It was at wilderspool...I was there.I remember it well.It was on a saturday and was live on tv.Well Granada Lancashire area anyway.

Phew, dementia's not got to me quite yet then. Worst thing is now I think about it it was my turn to drive so I can't hide behind the booze.

Best:
1: Challenge Cup Semi Final - Battered Saints, just the fact that i was going to watch the boys walk out in a final for the first time.
2: 2005, Challenge cup final. - As soon as we went behind in the 70 minute i thought the game had gone. But we dug deep and Celebrating was amasing.
3: Wigan 18-20 Hull I think it was april 2003. We hadn't won there for 10 years and it was a friday night. Horne steped in the final minutes to score beside the posts. Did the double over them that year.

Worst:
1: Grand Final 2006. Thought we was going to be champions. Great year though.
2: Challenge Cup Final 2008. Thought we could finally lay the wembley hoodoo to rest.
3: Getting beat by leeds final game of the year, to miss out on the play-offs. Deano's last game.

Typo!! lol.

I think there were two. Greg Mackay playing for Wire scored the winning drop goal (was it one - nil) - racking my brains but I can't remember if this really happened or if I imagined it... and the other was when he played for us at their ground and he scored a drop goal and a penalty to win three - two.

One of my worst was the 4-3 defeat to Halifax in the 1988 CC semi-final replay after the first game was 0-0

Wasnt the Mackay drop goal 3-2?

Barring the 2005 cc win..

Best -

1. 2005 CC semi against saints - best performance i've ever seen from an fc side.
2. Leeds away in 2006 - best away game i've ever been too.
3. Cas away a few years back, think it was a friday night game, toa-kohe-love intercepted and went 90 metres in the last minute to win the game, great scenes.

Another memorable game was back at the boulevard when we played Leeds and beat them 38-6, Jason Smith was amazing that night, one of the best individual performances i've ever seen from a player.

Worst -

1. 71-0 defeat at odsal in 2005.
2. Getting thumped by Rovers in their 1st season in super league.
3. Cas away last year was a huge low point.
