Who was the prop who played in the 9s for us last week, was that Freer?

Dave Morris (Mozzer) played in 9's last week.. His position being Prop.. He will be playing for the NEW 20'S next year..

Will Josh Hodgson be with us next season ??? Is there any talk of a new contract ???

tbf to them everyone they've signed from us has improved their side. i suspect, if true, hodgson will.

TBH I don't think he's quite SL standard, he's a decent player but just seems to lack what it takes to play top flight rugby (he reminds me of Andy Last).

lets be fair to the lad he gained international honors for his age at hooker we decided to play him in the back row for his 2 sl apps, hes also been our stand out performer in the reserves.

add to this we could be starting the season with one fit hooker! (not to mention how many berrigan will miss through the season)

There are many players who gain international honours at a young age who don't make it at the top level, the NL has plenty of them. As I've said I don't think he's got what it takes, however he may well prove me wrong.

He used to play for my dads side and was pretty much the best forward playing in the Yorkshire 17's league but as you say he really struggles for fitness. The club have been good with him though by making him a DVD to send to Championship sides to help him find a club.

Its good to see that the club will do that for their younger players who havnt quite made the grade at Hull.
I've seen Shaw play on a few occasions and reckon he has the potential to make a decent Championship forward.

Remember some of the shots he used to put on people Stephen, especially against Drewsbury Moors off half!
