Yes
Most of the sides (if not all) in the top 8 have scored 50 points at least once this season other than us.
Do you think we're one of the best attacking sides in SL?

[quote="Wellsy13":1juz9zgo]To us REAL fans, there's no better feeling than winning competitions. Getting to a final is next. Then a top 6 finish or semi-final appearance. Then I suppose the derby counts as the most important league fixture.
Us real fans don't look over our shoulder at our neighbours and do whatever we can to get one over on them. We look at the bigger picture. And this is the reason why Rovers are and will forever be considered a small club. Because their fans and board would rather get one over on Hull FC above anything else.
Quite sad, really! [/quote:1juz9zgo]
SPOT ON!

No, I think we score some nice tries however with a side that probably spends quite a bit more on it's pack than backs, we play to our strengths and rightly so.

We have the 6th best attack this year, and are about 4 -5 points per game behind Leeds and Hudds. Success previous to the last 2 years tended to be built on an ability to scrap out wins in tight games, I would be happy to see this again and for us to be challenging for honours at the end of the season.

You're best off not talking to him mate. He's just a tool that cannot possibly be wrong!! If you say anything he doesn't agree with you are either uneducated or work at mcdonalds, maybe he's just compensating for his sad life so tries to act the clever big man on an Internet forum!!
He drew the picture on his avatar himself you know, clever boy Jake!!

From what I remember we beat Salford 82 - 6, Widnes 74 - 10, Beat by Leeds and then beat Cas 54 - 10 all in the space of 4 games. If my memory serves me right?
That was when we was one of the best attacking teams in the comp.

Didn't we score on 3 consecutive sets at one point in that Salford game? I seem to remember a spell where we went in from the kick off more than once.

Not sure tbh mate, but I'm quite tempted to get the 2004 season review out now and have a look

I think you are right. I have list somewhere of the tries and times. I also seem to remember Shaun Briscoe scoring a hat trick in five minutes either side of half time, something like 37 mins, 40 mins and 42 mins.

The post was in response to someone suggesting we are a great attacking side, my points were suggesting otherwise. We play a % game which is why we're not a great attacking side and won't be under teh current coach'"
We are emerging from rock bottom after 2 poor seasons. Some of last night's tries resulted from superb rugby. We are not as good as the top sides yet but are moving in the right direction. Having 2 halves on the pitch and not just one would be the next major step. Wingers flying in at the corner, handling and backing up. Exciting individual running. Wire ? Saints ? Wigan ? No Hull against Salford last night. We are not there yet but are improving. Like I said when the moans are about how the tries are being scored that's a sign that clear improvement has been made. Are we the finished article ? No - some way off. But someone somewhere will still be claiming we're playing 5 drives and a kick. And we haven't done that all season.

| Just heard from a very good source that Tickle is definitely leaving us at end of his contract. Probably expected but nonetheless. His kicking has been top notch of late and will be missed, has won us games this year.

Gutted. Agar alluded to Tickle's children being in the North West and the decision being heavily influenced by personal factors on RH last night. Will be a massive miss for us. The important thing as has been said on here before though is to avoid another Carvell situation, so at least now the recruitment process can move on and Danny can leave us with big thanks and on good terms.

To be honest, I'm more worried about his goal kicking than anything else. We have options in the back row and, as good as Tickle is, we can cover his absence in that regard. I suppose Fitz could take over if he's staying, but we'll be struggling if he gets injured.
