| Quote: Rommel "Thorman has a bad game and is hung out to dry when the rest of the squad have been poor all season.
The root of the problem comes with you Hull fans expecting too much from a bad squad, bad captain, bad coaching etc
TBF to Thorman he was playing ok at the start of the season so what's the differance now
Actually Thorman has had one decent performance the away game at Bradford other than that he's been nothing other than ordinary. However his last two peformances have been abject. I do agree with you regarding the quality of our squad and coaching.

| Quote: Big Mac "That is a fair comment, don't get me wrong he was absolutely shocking the other night, in fact I can't remember the last time I saw such an inept individual performance. I just get the impression that over the whole of this season, he is the easy target to single out, when the reality is there is a much bigger problem.
Poor management across the board hamstringing the ability to improve the team for the future by tying up average players to contracts and also bringing in mediocrity (ie Thorman himself),taking the cheap option regarding head coach position.
Let's face it this season is over whether Thorman plays the rest of the season or doesn't play another game. We may make the playoffs but we won't last long in them.Sad but true unfortunately.'"
Our season has not been ruined by Thorman I would agree but he has played a good part in our poor form. Of course the coaching needs looking at as RA and JS seem to be clueless when it comes to picking sides and employing different tactics to suit the opponents. The thing is that Thorman just looks as though he doesn't care or that he is even trying, I know he probably does care but those tackles he attempts, well you can't even call them tackles, are simply awful and right now he is too much of a liability to have in the team.

| As we all know well and good, and have done for more seasons then we wanted to, a team cannot play without a scrum half. A player who will take charge in the centre of the park, challenges the defensive line and at the end of sets have a good kick which makes the opposition full back work for the ball.
Thorman does not do this by a long shot, so therefore not allowing the rest of the team to play to their full potential either.

Agreed. However, a SH no matter how good he is will struggle to do any of the above if his team isn't organised. If we want to compete with the best in SL every player needs to know their role inside out. Our set up on the 4th and 5th tackles against Leeds was none existent, no SH in the world could have triggered anything for us on that night. No attacking line, no willing runners, no dummy runners, no intensity in the kick chase, no attempt to play the ball quickly, etc, etc. That's before we even mention the defense!

We were playing with our tails up all first half, until Thorman made the stupid mistake of chipping the ball for Raynor to chase with less then a minute left, causing Leeds to score!
I woulc also argue that a SH and Vice Captian should be organising his team.

Berrigan looked as though he was trying to, unfortunately the majority of the team look so clueless it isn't funny any more. It's one thing having your 'tail up' and looking enthusiastic for the first part of the game, but when it matters you need structure and a game plan, we have neither.

| If Thorman plays against Saints, any respect i had for Agar will be gone and i'm sure many will feel the same.

You're shooting yourself in the foot!
We didn't have structure in the second half because our hooker had to move to SH because Thorman was pi$$ poor as per! Which in turn changed our game plan!
Think about it! Thorman needs to say bye bye.

Completely agree with that comment, any sort of variation in tactics or ideas seem to be non-existent.
As for Thorman, his performance on Tuesday should mean he should not play against Saints. If he does, what sort of message does that send out to the rest of the squad?

You only have to look at Wire since Tony Smith went there, his influence is starting to show, imo he is a fantastic coach.

And we all know that Agar will never deviate from his game plan. Fack me, he even picks when each sub will come on 3 days before a match!! I nearly fell off my chair when i saw Thorman had been subbed!

| We were talking with a couple of SL players a few weeks back and both just said how awful Thorman's defence is. The whole league must know about it but Tuesday is probably the first time this year it has been properly exposed.

And you saw with his brother here how a good coach can mould ordinary players into doing the extraordinary. A good coach can organise a team, see weaknesses in the opposition and form a plan, and change things of the hoof if need be!

Which are all things that our coaches seem incapable of doing. We have one plan, its not very elaborate and we will not/can not deviate from it.
