| Cartwright is correct when he says they don't have a definitive answer to what is a red and what is a yellow. I know I certainly don't.

It's obvious isn't it? The word mitigation

| Seriously though, what isn't helping is the quality of the footage when they put the incidents in slow motion. NRL coverage looks far crisper to make key decisions.

| It was better when we only had 2 televised games a week although wouldn't have helped us at magic weekend

Whether the officials get it right or wrong is irrelevant
Of course it’s NOT irrelevant! We proved Moore got many things wrong on Sunday and we shouldn’t just accept that or we are not playing on a level playing field. Not the first time he has got things wrong against us. Cust did a one on one strip but Moore somehow sees more players in the tackle and penalises him? Early on Sezer was tackled by Clune and the ball comes rolling out. Replays showed Clune’s hand flick it out but of course Moore sees it as a knock on. We could have challenged a few more decisions and proved him wrong? Now I’m certainly NOT saying he cost us the game on Sunday, we didn’t deserve anything from it, but it’s alarming how many decisions he makes against us.

It's obvious isn't it? The word mitigation I really don’t get the “in relation to the ground “ on knock ons , don’t understand it at all, to me if it’s forward it’s forward if it goes backwards it isn’t a knock on

The crusher tackles are very frustrating, absolute joke that neither were a penalty, I'm happy for no card and out onto report, but it has to be a penalty.
The NRL suspended a Canterbury player for 4 weeks following a crusher tackle over the weekend. He was sin binned and placed on report in the match. On appeal led by a high profile criminal lawyer the 4 match ban was confirmed.

I think the issue for me across all the games is the inconsistencies we are seeing not just game to game but more worryingly half to half. As you say the amount of decisions being corrected should be of a concern to the RFL. Though we do appear to suffer the most with poor/incorrect decisions they are happening across the league. All games now being broadcast means the performance of both the on field officials and VR are there to see and be scrutinised. I think some acknowledgment of this from the RFL and Bentham wouldn’t go a miss with plans to review the whole situation.

| They were both clear crusher tackles, both deserving of a yellow card and as penalty but both play on. Ridiculous decisions. If they had been carded then we'd have been 12 v 12 for half the 2nd half.
As has already been said there were at least half a dozen clearly incorrect decisions against us including a red card and 2 yellows not given.
I do think there is maybe some unconscious bias against us in terms of cards, probably derived from our poor discipline early last season, meaning we're maybe dealt with more harshly on the field so I think Myler needs to get onto bentham or whoever is in charge now and have it out with them.
You can bet your bottom dollar that checking if there is actually head contact in tackles and yellow cards for crusher tackles will be flavour of the next few weeks. A bit like the brown sending off last year, it always seems to be us on the wrong end of these poor decisions before they have a change of tack

| It seems now most officials are going into games looking to dish out cards and send players off as opposed to wanting a high quality game, obviously if there is a need to dish out cards do it but it seems so excessive (for some teams anyway)
The officials need to be held accountable for their mistakes and any rugby game that last for over 2 hours (without a serious injury/incident) shows they're doing something wrong.

| There was also the wigan try that was chalked off on sunday due to nsemba hitting someone's outside shoulder thus obstructing the defender which was a carbon copy of what happened the week before on briscoe which was let go and the try awarded.
I'm convinced they change their opinions on things week by week, probably due to spotting mistakes but it would be better all round if they were transparent about it.
If wegcot a weekly communication from the RFL explaining contentious decisions, whether the ref was right or wrong, and clarifying things everyone would be happier. It just needs to be the key things, maybe nothing some weeks. For instance if they came out this week and said the VR had made a mistake on the knight red card due to not viewing all of the angles and that in future, all angles would be checked before issuing a red card then at least you have some confidence it won't happen again. As it is it's just a stone wall silence and no one is any the wiser whether they have actually acknowledged the error beyond the MRP
