Could now be 3 or 4 weeks, pain thresholds permitting.

So, optimistically, 1 or 2 matches.

Quote: Riderofthepalehorse "Jakes boxing training doesn’t seem to have helped, why risk the best hands in the business, thought Fash & Houghton were outstanding, leading a very young side against an almost complete Leeds outfit, understandably as it was men against boys, some very good experience and lessons will be learned by the likes of Walker and Litten etc.

An excellent turn out from the old faithful, showing their appreciation for Toms endeavours for us, he’s a really cool guy, and an ambassador for the game, Schofield could learn a lot from this young man.

I believe this season we’re going to have to grow into it, no point in being to despondent, it is what it is, and some valuable experience will be gained by others.'"

I agree Rider its going to be half a season for us but fans wont pay to see that.Opening games with positive results are important especially for fans to buy into the wave.Realistically if we do go 0/3 or four not only does player confidence go but so do the fans.
Fash and Brown worked hard yesterday but teams are not going to be shaking in their boots coming up against Bowden,Fash and Brown in our front row.
We also have no credible back up at half back.McNamara had a chance to shine yesterday with another pre season training behind him but is far too slow and if he stays with the club will end up at nine.
Hodgson is doing it tough with all the injuries to key players but the club need to go out into the loan market for at least a front row with some size.

I’ve already paid, among thousands of others, it’s a labour of love watching your own team, you carry on believing, hoping, wishing, it’ll wear you down, but give you so much pleasure, and just sometimes give you moments to remember forever.

A bit harsh on Macca, Gale missing half the game, and up against two very experienced Australian halves Sezer & Austin, behind a pack very much dominated.

Some fair and valid points made in both posts. Have to say on McNamara I agree with both of you in that as Bonaire said he didn’t exactly shine out there yesterday, his kicking wasn’t the greatest when lumping in the air to far giving Leeds restart on the 20 instead of being a little smarter or clinical. That said as you say Rider without Gale or any other recognised hb to partner him and pretty much no forwards he was always going to struggle and dare say even the most experienced HB’s would under those circumstances. Thought Gale when he was on looked the best HB out there and it’s a positive move forward for us having his guile and tactical ability hopefully we can keep him fit.

At some point questions have to be asked about our recovery/fatigue management with this level of injury especially before a ball has been kicked in anger. A situation this dire can’t be chalked up to bad luck. Long season ahead.

Maybe something in what you say but a team can be unlucky. I just hoping it’s not a sign of discontent. A player with a niggle if a team is positive and doing well will play through it. Sadly opposite is true niggles may keep a player out, “why would I pull my hog out for this lot.”

Not saying it is just hope it isn’t but our finishing in the final play of the ball showed no difference to last season. And I know there was a lot of young guns out there on Sunday but once agave looked lame and predictable.

Bit of good news on the injury front. Kane Evans injury not as serious as feared and should be fit for when his bans ends.

Under new rules introduced by France this week, vaccinated Britons will not be allowed to visit France if they received their second jab more than 270 days ago.

The only way they will be permitted entry is if they have had a booster jab at least 14 days before travelling.

It’s an EU rule. Applies to all EU countries I believe
