| Could have scored a lot more points, we seemed to drop the ball on the first couple of drives for a spell in the 2nd half, but credit to the defence tonight, Ellis is a workhorse, must be good to have blokes like him around, real pleased for Horney to get one over the enemy on his last derby, well done boys from 1-17. Caro couldn't catch my gran on the way to Mecca bingo!

| Your defence was excellent all night, big games from Watts, Green and Ellis.
Horne took the ball to the line really well at times, Houghton always seems to play well against us and did again.
We were lucky to get no points, we deserved minus.
Enjoy the win.

| Bit of both, You wanted it and had a lot of enthusiasm in defence and played the conditions and refereeing better, we played probably as bad as I've seen all year and it's been bad at times, looked like a lot of players know they're on their way out.
Score line completely flattered us and I was happy to get away without being truly embarrassed. If you had a cutting edge it could have been 70+

| Definitely a bit of both. Our defence was relentless, a thoroughly deserved nil. Score sort of flattered them, but then again didn't because we still lack skill in opening a defence. Only our first try was artfully engineered, the main theme was just battering our way through plus a foot race from their error. Still, we bossed the game so it matters little.
Only thing that annoyed me tonight was a guy behind me. At the end of the game he said 'that makes the season for me, I don't mind about the rest now.' Complete garbage IMO, if anything it showed just how bad the rest of the season has been, as it shows that we could and should have been a lot better more often.

completely agree, don't get me wrong I am pleased by the unexpected result...but it doesn't wipe away the memories of having to sit through that dire 7-0 defeat to Widnes, chucking away leads against Wakefield and Cas, being hammered by Wigan Reserves etc the team need to perform with that level of commitment and desire every game, not when they feel like it.

| Blunderside is ace after a night like tonight. You can feel their pain through the airwaves.
The Dobbins only played that poorly because FC absolutely mullered them all night long. Even in the last few minutes we were hunting in packs.
Kudos to Watts, Ellis and the rest of the forwards .

Hilarious when crossing the carpark on the way home. Someone had the car windows down and Gwilym's dulcets were echoing aloud for all to hear. Flat, despondent, defeated. Such fun but so wrong, why do we pay our licence fees?
Christ, what a tonic tonight was!

Ludicrous decision to select a clearly injured player for an intense game.

I got back to the car at 10pm and listened for 25 minutes. First up a commiseration interview with Chris Chester. A few texts. An interview with Radford, opening up with the Bradford defeat and dwelling on the broader season of "dismay". Then a drawn out session with Keating and Lee Richardson predicting Rovers will bounce back next week. For all the trailers in the week about the derby game itself, there was precious little credit given to an FC side who dominated in all areas thanks to an engine of desire and commitment and a mean-minded pack. We only won because Rovers allowed us to, apparently.

| Glad to see Talonoa finally getting some praise, he works so hard for the team and is strong going forward, he is also a good finisher and strong defensively.
I wish he had more pace as he would be even better, but he is a very good value for money winger.

He's not the fastest winger and wont score many 70 metre tries but he's big, strong and brave and will take some stopping if he gets a decent pass in the opposition 20.

Given how well he is playing, i'm not sure why we are looking for another outside back next year. Yes Yeaman doesn't have long left at this level, but a backline of Lineham, Sa, Yeaman & Talanoa isn't that bad for next year IMO.
Hopefully we can tie Lancaster down to a deal as a future prospect and we'll also have Arundel back. Then there's the Ben Crooks debate, which has been done to death, but I hope we see him back in Black & White next year.
Personally i'd rather see another impact prop brought in, even though the pack were excellent last night. A Sam Moa style 'project' would add something to the side IMO

If Crooks goes we need another centre. You can't fault Yeaman's effort and I'm happy for him to stay at the club as cover, but he's not got the quality we need if we want to push towards the top 4.
Other than that I think the squad looks okay.
