I doubt Horne will play FB but if he does I think he will win Lance Todd


My concern is in the centres where we have Yeaman who took a bad knock last week and Crooks who is making his first game return from surgery. That is far from ideal.

We have to play Shaul. Horne was truly outstanding upto his injury and in my book was the player of the year by a mile but this lengthy layoff will have taken its toll on him. Gutted for him but sentiment has to go by the wayside on this one. Shaul has been a revelation, sure, he has made the odd mistake but he just gets on with his job and looks and plays as a class act. No way should he be even considered for missing out. Ruthless Gentle has to be.

I share that concern, but am telling myself that if Wigan have a weakness, that's where theirs is too.

Like most for me Green & Horne to miss out barring any last minute injuries or illness (ala Briscoe 05)

Shaul deserves the FB spot based on last 3 weeks and proven match fitness

PG could consider Horne on the bench for utility value with Whiting missing out, hope that isn't a consideration! Gentle allways speaks highly of Whiting so doubt it

Horne to be 18th man unless one of the squad breaks down. He'll get his chance in the play offs.

There's no need to worry about Richards outjumping Crookes for the ball. All we have to do is stop them kicking it to him.
