| I am really excited about Ellis, I personally believe he is our most astute signing.
Will be interesting to see how things pan out on the pitch and who plays where.

Wonder what Rich Whiting put

Gentle said at the fans forum he saw Rich as a back rowers.
Has Rich Horne been shagging Standee's wife ? While he hasn't had a good few seasons think back to when he played with a decent half back partner.

not at all, I don't deny he has some talent, I just do not think he is good enough for a top 2 side, I sincerely hope he proves me wrong.

Do you not see a major inconsistency in simultaneously calling for us to pick the better players on form and wanting rid of a specific player before seeing how he plays in the coming season?
Your opinion on our halfbacks is more close-minded than anyone on these forums, so all this talk of picking players on form and seeing what the season brings is cobblers, you've already decided Horne is not good enough and that's not likely to change.

He does play well at fullback tho, very safe under the high ball and good at taking the ball up. Richard Whiting has asked to play in the back row according to Gentle and thats where the coach sees him playing next season. A position for everyone and everyone in position eh? Roll on next season

No denying he would do a decent job there
I think now we have options in the h/backs he may well be considered for the position if our f/back is injured, along with the ever reliable Whiting of course.

I hope Whiting isn't. If he's going to be a back rower, let's play him there for a season and let him make the position his own. He's been buggered about enough in recent years and deserves a decent run in his preferred position.

| Will be interesting to see how Ellis goes when he gets his opportunity. It's a massive step up from championship rugby. Here's hoping he makes it.

what an odd statement to make when you consider you have already on numerous ocassions said he isnt good enough for a top side>>?? surely if we pick people on form then we go with experience first and then see what that players form is like and go from there dont we?? or do we start with a player new to SL and leave the former GB player sat on the bench is that what you mean ??
or as is expected for the first time in ages (so long i have forgotten) Horne will start with a true half back partner and then the coaches will choose from there.... and if he doesnt do it then PG will bring in Ellis for a bash is how i see it going ...
But to say Horne isnt a top player is just silly IMO because the fella has had the world piled on his shoulders in past seasons and much of that expected is simply not what he was capeable of yet STILL did a decent job , with a decent half back partner he will go well and ellis will learn from a very experienced and well respected player in Rich horne and take his chance when the inevitable injury comes along... and 90% of half backs are injured at some point

Just read that....I also hope he can make a position is own (I have no doubts he will either). I also think it is a good option to put him in the back-row.
