| Quote: hullbg "Don't misunderstand me and presume i am a big Noble fan because I am not. However it annoys me that people cannot seem to see what he did at Wigan & Crusaders.
One thing you can guarantee with Nobby is that he wont let the players rest on their laurels like they seem able to do at the moment. Remember the game last year when he kicked the bottle etc, you can see his passion etc from incidents like that. We currently need someone to light a fire under our players because it seems clear to me Agar is letting them just go through the motions, and the only time they are fired up is when it suits them.'"
What he said.

| Much that i would love to see Noble here, it just wont happen.
a - He would cost to much money.
b - He would want total control of team affairs, which he wouldnt get here.
c - He is not a yes man.

| not quite sure why some people are trying to pretend that Noble wouldn't be good for us, at least for one or two seasons...
1. He has won plenty of silverware and has the required experience
2. He can make decent and shrewd signings (see Crusaders)
3. He would probably revel in utilising our pack, which is great on paper and could be awesome on the pitch
4. We could give Noble a 1 or 2 year contract which I wouldn't have a problem with
5. At the end of this season we have massive recruitment which IMO Noble could undertake
6. He's a good bloke and would suit the culture of our club far more than Agar
He's the only coach available as far as i'm aware and he's a more realistic target than a "top-class aussie"
Personally i'd give him this season and then perhaps renew for 2012 based on performance and win ratio
To pretend Noble is no better than Agar is deluded

His links to Elliott at Penrith no doubt. If Nobby does take over as our coach let's hope he can go back to Penrith again....just as long as it doesn't result in Worrincy

I agree completely from a coaching POV. If you look at our squad on paper it is good but we suffer from poor discipline, lack of options, predictable strategy and seemingly insane substitutions. Noble may have his faults but he has proven in the past he can handle these issues better than Agar seems to be able to.
I agreed when Rich Agar said that he wanted to put his team together and I gave him the benefit of the doubt to do this, I also think he did a pretty good job at it too...but the trouble is he doesn't seem to now know what to do with them and we need someone with better management and tactical skills to start getting anywhere near the club's on-paper potential.

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

My point is how can you un earth a player who's played 38 nrl games at 22.

If we'd signed Witt or Sammut and Long had gone elsewhere there would have been uproar on here.

Because they are clubs who put some importance in investing in a top quality coach, not like us.

I think you're wrong and at the very least we would have had the 'lack of ambition' line trotted out again. Guess we'll never know for sure.

what planet are you on...long is at least 2 years past his best, and anyone with half a brain could see that the guy is finished.....hence him playing about 20 games in 2 years
