Definatley. Our home record must be as good this season, as well as tidy up the couple of should-have-won away games too.

It's worth taking into account we haven't won a game following a derby fixture for quite a while. Therefore even more vital to beat Rovers as history says we won't beat Leeds.

Can't believe some people would be happy with winning just 4 or 5 of the opening 8 games. Apart from the Wigan fixture, we should be expecting to win the rest. Obviously the rovers game could go any way, but I think our settle, but very small squad sould have more continuaty. And if we really want compete this year we need to beat Leeds at home, and Huddersfield away.

Tbh I think its more of a realistic view than expecting.
Obviously yes we would like to win 7/8, but ( excluding wigan last season) can't imo see it happening..
If we win 4 or 5, without any serious disruptions through injuries I think we will be in a decent position.

Salford was our 8th game last season when he got his extension after it.

Yes but he now has two full seasons on his contract. If we have a successful season he may well get an extension in the off season. If we are struggling mid season and out of the cup that might be the time that the directors start looking elsewhere.

Although I'm not sure I agree with them, but if the board really believe Agar is doing as good a job as they say they shouldn't make a decision after only 8 games regardless of how we perform, some teams start better then others the end of the season form paints a better picture in my opinion, looking at it though you'd like to think we can win the all the home games in that 8.

in my opinion we have got to win our home games beat the dobbins, if we 5 out of 8 keep fairly free of injuries 6th to 8th place finish

Knowing us, we'll probably beat rovers, Leeds, Huddersfield and Wigan alongside defeats to Crusaders, Cas, Wakey and Quins.
OR we will win 7 and lose 1, OR win 1 and lose 7.
It has become almost impossible to predict what FC will do from one week to the next. Capable of beating the very best one week followed by disorganized ineptitude the next. We seem to have filled the position vacated by Warrington of 4/5 years ago by being the league's most unpredictable side.

As I've said on another thread somewhere, I've decided to take it game by game. Enjoy the victories and attempt to ignore the defeats.
As for Mr Agar, whatever my own personal concerns about his suitability as a head coach. I will be surprised if there is any change in the situation this year. Barring a catastrophic season (which we won't have) he will start 2012 as Hull FC head coach.

i think alot of hull supporters hope mr agar does well as i do but just cannot see it, the way hull attack the game leaves alot to be desired and is very boring most of the time with the excuse of not havin any halfbacks which is getting boring should have had 1 signed up along time ago if not 2. i see us doing simular to last season playin well in bits then doing enough in some matches to win and then being boring and rubbish in others still be they cheering the boys on
