What an excellent result it would be if we manage to beat Wigan on their turf. It would give both players and fans a massive boost and may well instill the confidence needed to make this a successful season.

It seems this will be our toughest test so far this year, but saying that, who of us thought we would have returned from Knowsely Road with the spoils.

If we play to our full potential then we have a chance but we will seriously have to be at our best as Wigan are in no doubt a quality opposition.

Result not as important as our performance in this one - I am sure that our pack will not give way and if it doesn't then it will auger well for future battles. Season not decided on Friday but a statement of intent away from home could well be made.

apparently hull kr vs wakefield is a better game to show the viewing public than a top of the table clash between wigan and hull.

I think you'll find that those who schedule which games are shown on sky before the season starts don't have a crystal ball and wouldn't have known that Wigan and Hull would be 1st & 2nd this coming Friday.

Neither have Saints, but they have 6 players out so won't get any points at Craven Park.

Looking down the wigan team sheet they aren't as good as us man for man IMO, however the new coach has massively improved fitness levels and they're playing very well. We, on the other hand, have only really played well in patches for me so to have any chance in this one we need to up the intensity and play at our best for the full 80. If we do then we'll take the points, if not we could get 30+ points stuck on us.

They are a dangerous side if you don't close them down but both bradford and wire have show their vulnerabilities if you get it right

if we get into their faces, close down quickly and dont leave our winger to face the bombs and high jumpers alone we should do ok, in the pack we are more than a match for them , I can imagine that Ogre will be looking forward to meeting Fielden again , I seem to recal a toe to toe between them at Wigan a few years back, Cussack and fitz will look after Coley who is a big unit to be fair.
and our ticks will be ready for a decent game in his home town for once
