A couple of individuals have the mortgage for Caravan Park, not the club itself, so that’s where the income goes. The rugby club will still be reporting big losses.
Whatever, it’s still a dump.'"
There is no mortgage, but you keep telling yourself there is if it helps you sleep at night.

| I think some should stop obsessing with the Dobbins and what they are doing. For the decades they have been in the doldrums like we are now they obsessed constantly on here about us and what dicks they all looked doing it.
As for Kirkham he has been around a while on the rumour mill and my pal having had a couple of beers asked Adam outright a couple of weeks ago in the lounge and he wouldn't comment. Loads of names being bandied around. However, as far as I know Dan doesn't know anything more than he's been assured it's ongoing and likely happening, but the secrecy is tight as a drum about whose involved and despite what some say on here that secrecy extends completely to the nature of the deal Takeover/investment/partnership so we just have to wait and see. I expect though it would be useful for all concerned to announce the outcome before the conclusion of the IMG submissions.
I guess the next milestone on this ongoing saga is the end of the season let's hope next week is interesting.

Normally you’d think something so random and so left field they’d have to be something in it as nobody would just make it up. I’m convinced though that with Hull there’s people that just try and make up the most ridiculous rumours and get a kick out of seeing how far they get, and it’s usually pretty far.
Somethings going to happen on the investment front soon I’m sure, I’m not convinced it will be what everyone is now expecting or hoping for, I’d maybe just wait and see if what’s announced and if that sheds any light on the situation. Pearson said himself the people who you deal with in these situations don’t always like to have their names splashed about in the public domain. There’s obviously a will to keep things quiet at the minute as everyone’s pretty tight lipped, no journos have really gone public with anything since the initial Myler appointment.

If it's a takeover and AP is leaving, I wonder if there's a possibility it will be announced this week prior to the game? Give Adam the opportunity to say goodbye to the fans. Whilst he has his critics, it's important to remember that he has done a lot of good for the club in his tenure even if it's not ending in the way any of us wanted.

| No doubt be announced when this season is finally done. New start and all that.
Be interesting if it’s more than one individual involved.
Just scratching my head to see why anyone would put money into a sporting club, especially one in a sport that’s struggling badly?

| On the new stadium idea, a small one next to the MKM would probably be of interest to City for their youth and women's teams (similar to how Liverpool are using Saints ground) but even if there was by form of miracle the cash for it the Fair has a Royal charter and don't want it

That would be ideal, while I'm fuming with him at the moment I also can't forget I had two of the best days of my life at Wembley.
I can't understand why we can't have a talks are in progress' details soon type statement, surely Mr Thirkhill releases speculation started in April and ongoing confusion will only dampen pass sales.

| No one can deny AP gave us the greatest day of most supporters lives. Just think he’s had good intentions, but been let down badly by those advising him.
Can see what happened when someone who knew what they were doing got involved (Motu Tony).
McRae, Howes, Redford, Clarke and O’Meley have all done him a disservice in terms of recruitment, and no doubt wasted a tonne of money.

You’d think it would make sense whatever the nature of the deal to have it sorted in time for more certainty with stuff like season tickets, IMG grading etc. We really have no idea though who the potential investor or investors are though and what they want in return for the investment, any assurances etc it might just be a complex deal. The timescale was always the back end of the year supposedly.

I don't think there's any option other than extending the lease at the MKM there isn't enough time to design, fund and build a new stadium.
I see to recall the MKM got signed off in 1999 for an end of 2002 opening so 3 Years but that with the council pushing it. This time we'd be leaving a council owned ground and who's to say they'd be supportive?
And geographically there is nowhere else to play, even putting aside the centuries of rivalry the hours drive in traffic to Craven Park would be enough to hit gates. Apart from that you are looking at Donny or York.

i agree i think the lease will be renewed but if whats being said is true what is thirkells motive, is it just richie wanting a genuine go at being an owner and mould his own team or is it a genuine monetary motive
