| Quote Standee="Standee"Ah, apologies, I misunderstood.
He is reasonable, reasoned and articulate, he wont be "the face" of FC but if and when he needs to comment he will, he certainly won't tie people's hands behind their backs when he knows they know better than him what they are talking about, he is what I would call "an enabler", someone who allows people to shine in their own right.
And Staffs, nobody is worhsipping the new owner, we're being optimistic.'"
Nice to be able to be optimistic as an FC!

| Quote Old_Faithful_IAKW="Old_Faithful_IAKW"I understood why he sold Hull City, but the fact he sold it to such a moron is alarming and contradicts the statement he doesn't suffer fools. Could he end up selling us to a businessman who is willing to put our entire club into jeopardy?
It was Colchester, he did have a good record however by a good chairman is all about selecting the 'correct people' for the job - Pearson only managed this once IMO.
I sure as hell hope he is a success, the blind faith in him is worrying though.'"
yeah colchester.
Phil brown kept city up, got city promoted then managed to even keep city up for a year.
with parkinson and molby he quickly realised he'd made a mistake and then replaced them.
I understand where you coming from regarding blind faith but I've been very happy with what James Rule has done whilst he's been at the club and this mean he will continue and be provided with cash as well.
it's hard not to get carried away by todays news.

| Just a side question that may have been discussed already, but it has been said Rule had his hands tied by the BoD andhe may well show himself now he has a chairman who will let him get on with it. Do you think Agar may be in the same boat, did the previous BoD tie his hands in relation to recruitment etc, last year he desperately wanted a 7 and the BoD bought Westerman. Maybe with a free rein he will succeed. Would the fan base be happy with this appraoch or has too much water gone under the bridge?

I'd be happy to have a successful team regardless of who is the coach.
suspect a few on here feel differently though

This would not account for agars interchanges, nor his inablitily to change direction during a game eg leeds last week we carried on doing in the 2nd half what we did in the first half...
Mind you I wonder if the players knew change was ahead last friday

The players have a lot to answer too for that display, the same team and tactics had worked well for the weeks before, yet unless agar had a whole new team on the bench to bring on he would have struggled to to turn that around, they looked completely uninterested.

I can only think that this is what AP is referring to in terms of giving Agar the tools to do the job etc. It can't be the amount of cash unless we haven't been at full cap as was always claimed. Maybe as you say it was flexibility/choice in how it was spent. FWIW I think Agar's days are numbered unless another CC final appearance materialises.

I do not disagree.

I mentioned this myself earlier, think we will see if the performances etc change between now and the end of the season. There had always been rumours whilst Sharp was in charge that meddling from a certain person on the board left his hands tied and maybe the same is true with Agar? However Agar had been at the club long enough to know what he would be getting into so feel he is still the wrong guy for the job and even more so now. Too much water has gone under the bridge and think Pearson will let Agar see out this season but say thank you and bye bye at the end of it.

| Quote A unknown superstar="A unknown superstar"Hopefully the plane he had to catch, was for a trip to Aus to go get us a new coach. Daniel Anderson (wishful thinking) may be interested seeing as his brother in law is at KR (for the time been) and fancies even more bragging rights when Hull and KR play each other
'"
Well, he said he hoped to meet Agar tomorrow, so this trip to Oz needs to be on a time machine.
