| Quote: A unknown superstar "What’s Naughtons situation like over at Newcastle Knights at the minute. I know he doesn’t play, but is he in the first team squad? Or does he play for their feeder team? Can’t blame young kids going over their if their going to be earning at least £55k compared to nothing over here.'"
£55k for an average squad player is a LOT of money.

That’s what I’m getting at, but don’t know if Naughton is on their books or just for their feeder team?

| Regarding Josh Jones, if he has actually signed. Does he fit the type of back rower we’ve been craving and need? The Murdoch-Masila, Bateman type who’ll run great lines and bust tackles? I don’t think he is (not to say he wouldn’t be good for us) but this is what we are missing in the pack. The closest we have to it is Mini, but he’s not done that for a couple of years imo and gets over played.

Jones has the most tackle busts in the salford side and more than any of our forwards, 2nd in the offloads, only Mini has more, he exactly what we need, maybe doesnt run the lines of Bateman, but he is very powerful and is a good defender, probably more like BMM than Bateman
No idea if its happening though, seems to be a left field rumour.

| Probably the reason Radders ain’t playing him then, pointless picking him if he’s not in the plans.

| I'd have Whitehead for sure but would that mean he'd be our marquee player, he's not going to leave oz for peanuts.

Why would he even consider leaving Australia?

| Isn’t Whitehead trying to get his mate Bateman to join him at Canberra?
Can’t see him coming back anytime soon. The disparity in the salary caps makes it near impossible to sign players in their peak from the NRL.
Bateman is a player Radford has always liked, maybe it’s him?
