Quote hfc herts="hfc herts"Given the way HISA ended up last time around can you really blame the owners of the club from being some what aprehensive about a newly formed band of brothers.
I am sure they watch this board even if they don't admitt it. They can clearly see what the agenda is of the vocal ones.

Quote hfc herts="Standee"I see this as a bit of a bod blow to the new ISA, it's almost like the club saying it isn't really required.'"
Quote hfc herts="Kosh"How many teeth do you think a new HISA would have?
The advantage of an ISA over something like FC Voices is purely it's representative structure, which would theoretically lend more weight to any suggestions/requests it put forward. However, the club would still be free to ignore it - witness the demise of 'old' HISA for example.'"
Quote hfc herts="PAUL M"I don't want to argue about Voice or HISA, IMO they are both not worth having, there are some good people in both and friends of mine in both but they are still useless IMO.'"
Some of the above quotes are from some of the more sensible posters on this forum, which actually worries me. (thats not a criticism of the posters, it just gives me an insight into just how people are viewing this).
My "vision" for a new ISA would be an organisation that works with the club for the benefit of the club and its fans. It shouldn't be, IMO, a way of trying to force the club into doing what some of its members want. It should be a way of helping the club and bringing the fans together through events and fundraisers etc.
All this talk of the ISA being useless and toothless etc makes me wonder just what everyone else thinks the agenda of the new ISA will be? They should only really try to "challenge" the club on the really big issues when enough of the membership feel strongly about it. Most of its time should be spent on actually working to help the club to make it stronger.
Perhaps I'm in the minority with this but I get the feeling tonight will be more about ego than actually starting a worthwhile ISA. If so I will be finishing my drink and walking out the door.
