I am buzzing my tutties off ! Saints at Wembley is more winnable than Saints in a semi final.
I'm up at 5am Sat morning here as taking my daughter to a tennis comp in rural Victoria. Got to stay up until 1am for the match.
I'll be stood up in my living room all the match ! I have a rippa of a Shiraz ready if we win and a few 650ml cans of Sapporo for the match.
Let's do it and get that Cup 3 x in our Cabinet

We have a 50/50 chance and having beat Leeds, whilst they were losing at Cas, I think we should be favourites.
I have us as Favourite in my mind ! Let's go there and get the job done. The earnings alone from a Wembley trip will pay Mahe's wage next year !'"
We've just scraped past 2 of the bottom clubs, not sure this is great form for a semi against one in 2nd boasting the Man of Steel elect in the rain. Would love us to win, obviously. Should be a good atmosphere as well. Never expected to be here after another tough draw so just enjoying the build up.

It was a good guess. I make it 6 too. Twice in the early 1900's when we lost 3 consecutive cup finals, twice in the late 50's/early 60's when we lost 2 cup finals in a row and reached the semi the next year, once in the early 80's plus the current one.

Genuinely a once in a generation achievement then! Thanks for the reply Freddie, interesting history!

Eeyore is a character in the Winnie-the-Pooh books by A. A. Milne. He or indeed, She, is generally characterised as a pessimistic, gloomy, depressed, anhedonic, old grey stuffed donkey who is a friend of the title character, Winnie-the-Pooh

Are you kidding me? I've just applauded the fact this is our best set of cup semi runs in a generation, and shared a link praising Ellis. Very happy right now. If we win, great, plenty still to be pleased about if not. The old grey stuffed bit I'll give you.

Has your daughter been reading you a bedside story or two to rock you off to sleep?

I've not seen Hull too much in the last couple of weeks but we've fallen a long way over the last 2-3 months and the last 2 weeks have been really bad.
I agree about the need for it to be a decent game but if we're evenly matched it could be messy for whoever gets to Wembley....

What is interesting is that on the official Hull FC club website the list of honours does not include 1908/09 as a CC runners up season. It lists 1907/08,1909/10. Strange that it omits 1908/09 as we did lose 3 consecutive CC finals in that period.
Another website, however, does show the 3 seasons as CC runners up.

| Quote: Mrs Barista "I think it will be closer to the former. Warrington have the luxury of using the marquee player rule, plus they're above us in the competition and therefore understandably favourites. And forecast is rain.
Do you employ the same degree of pessimism to your personal life as you do to Hull FC? I assume not as you make no references to expecting the flights to be delayed or cancelled?
Have a nice time anyway. Hope it all goes smoothly.

It was an educated guess. I was actually thinking it was likely 4 given our clusters of final appearances over the years

Last Weekend the bbc forecast for Bolton on Saturday was 23deg, sunny, and gentle breeze.
It’s changed quick so could change back quick.
We are crap in all weathers

I'm sure Lang Park will be most unimpressed with comments like this.
