Not bad for a skint club signing the current Kiwi 9

| Think it's a really smart signing, imagine if Balmforth gets a chance and does well, when Trueman is back could line up like this
6 Hoy
7 Trueman
9 Houghton
13 Brown
14 Balmforth
That's will Smith as back up too.

| As good as Houghton was last season I'd like to see us be less dependent on him as our starting 9 next year.
If everyone stays fit, we could start with Brown and have Balmforth or Smith on the bench

I agree, great signing for us, reading the Bulldogs fans' page, when he left they all wanted him to stay and rated him highly, at halfback as well as hooker. Definitely optimistic now, Ashworth and Okunbor in the back row, good front row and depth in the halves, look to be in a much better position this preseason than last. I also think Pele will be a force, he is fast and as big as Kasiano. If we hit preseason right, there won't be many packs relishing a match up against ours.

Tyson Frizell is making his debut for Tonga at the weekend after previously winning caps for Wales and Australia.

I'll watch it on Kayo or Fox Sports live mate.
The killer is missing out on the 8 NRL games over a usual Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun morning for the next 5+ months.
What else am I meant to do?

| Any indepth comparisons for Clifford and Brown?
Obvious one for me looks like Brown has a better running game. Obviously a huge attribute of Clifford game was his kicking.
Whats brown like leading a team around is he an organiser and very vocal?

Was Clifford's kicking game that good, I thought at times our last tackle plays were poor, I thought Clifford's best part was running and passing?

He had a decent spiral bomb - but they only came off every so often. Persisted with short Drop Outs, which I don't mind by the way, but his execution was poor 75% of the time. Best part of his kicking game, was his kick offs. Making it a contest. How many times would Sneyd just put it straight down the half backs throat, then Clifford tries something different and he got criticised too

Not just me who thought that then. His field kicking was pretty poor. His kick offs were the best part of his kicking game.
