Be interesting to see how the likes of Rovers go post Wembley, Warrington with the departure of Powell, Salford with the situation they may be in and even St's without the likes of Walmsley & Pasi for the run in.'"
Hull fans know what a Wembly visit can do to a teams season, im hoping we'll get the win and the confidence will push us to a great seasons end too, but we've seen many teams fall off a cliff afterwards so who knows,
Plenty of twists as you say, Warrington??? God only knows what they'll do, Saints have those injuries you mention, then there's Leeds, who'll obviously be in the mix too. Your points difference probably means you need an extra win too when you think about it so it'll defo be tough.'"
Well you can certainly add Leeds in to the mix with the news that Austin looks likely to be heading to Cas imminently and they are likely to be without Myler for the rest of the season.

| Be amazed if Sutcliffe is playing Sunday. Saw him at the university earlier and his hand was heavily strapped.

| Manoa had new boots earlier this week, would be good timing for his 1st time debut to have some new boots for it?

| Carlos and Scott definitely playing, Sutcliffe still a chance. Hope all three are fit and Lane can be dropped.

| Quote: The Dentist Wilf "I don't honestly believe they feel that we have as a club much hope for the top 6, do you? whilst wakey are absolutely desperate for with the IMG stuff (and rather like Castleford) they may not get up again if they get relegated. So for me we may well lose this one unless we start fast and keep our foot on the gas. And we are not too good at that at present!'"
Its quite clear we dont expect to be top6 as unlike last year we havent looked to make any loan signings despite having a quota spot available.
I think Wakefield's new stand will get them a franchise ahead of Cas and Fev, its not just a few new seats but also meets the disabled access standards, has corporate lounges etc and they have a new pitch and floodlights which means lots of ticks in the facilities box.

Not sure that’s the reason we haven’t made any loan signings think that more to do with Smith. He’s been quite open that if the right player was available and would be a player they see for 2024 onwards they’d have brought someone in but he wasn’t bringing anyone in just for the sake of it for this season.
Whether we think that’s a good or bad thing at least it shows there’s a plan in terms of the recruitment and they aren’t going to panic or deviate from it.

If there was a plan then they wouldnt have been looking to bring in any loan signings.
The fact that they were looking shows intent
More to do with money or lack of money not knowing what thet will get from the new TV deal

Don’t agree as Smith has made clear numerous times the club haven’t been looking for loan players just to come in for this season. The only loans they would look at doing for a player would be if they were a player they’d want beyond this season hence why they have been looking.
Let’s face it the short term loans the did under Hodgson were of no benefit to the club at all so why repeat that process?

There is a plan, if you spent more time reading what’s been said instead of listening to what’s been said in your head, Tony Smith has clearly intimated that loan deals would only take place if they led to players being signed permanently. In other words he wants players that will fit his team ethic permanently, not just short term, unlike your team, who rush into short term deals.

I think you’re wasting your time. I used to think he was just a troll, but now I think he’s just a victim of a failed educational system. His lack of comprehension skills show this. He deserves our pity.

If they havnt been looking whats this then?
Tony Smith has confirmed that he won't be adding any new faces to his Hull FC squad before this Friday's rugby league transfer deadline day. Clubs have around 24 hours to get any new players registered in time to play for the rest of the season, but the Black and Whites won't be entering the market.
That's not to say that the club hasn't been looking, but there's been nothing available that has engaged their interest enough to offer a deal.
