| We're also chipping away at our +/- points difference . Only 30 points behind Hudds now .

Rovers will win the Cup this year unfortunately. Puts them in a difficult spot though, having belittled its importance since 2015 it will now be a sensational achievement.

| Think we need salford to beat Wigan tomorrow to have any sort of hope of playoffs
Wigan win we need to make up 3 wins and that's without the poor points diff we have

| season far from over, 11 games to go, 2 v cas, 2 v hudds, 1 v wakey and leeds, got to be looking to pick up a maximum of 12 points from those games. John Wellls said on the pre match build up the points total for making the top 6 is 28 minimum, that would give us 26 if we won those games, leaving 5 games to pick up a couple more wins...possible? yes, but we have to play like we did v saints nearly every game

Salford (and Leigh) losing this weekend were good results for us. As good as both have been they are still the ones with the biggest question marks. Wigan or Saints aren't going to lose 8 of their last 11. Leigh or Salford possibly could.

| Unlikely but not impossible, reckon Leeds last season where is a similar position and made the GF. Would have to win the next two IMO. Be good to finish the season positively for a change even if we do fall short.

| If we can look after our own business by beating Catalans this weekend, the other fixtures could potentially be good for us. Leeds probably won't win at Warrington, I know Warrington are very shaky themselves but I'd still back them to win that. Leigh v Hull KR will see one of the teams we are hunting drop points, and Salford have a few important players missing and travel to a desperate Wakefield. If the stars align we could find ourselves ahead of Leeds and only 4 points behind 4th place, with a run of 4 very winnable games to come.

cartoons/WB17.gif I've been on the internet and have already got a sense of the fans' passion for the club. They are very fanatical - Peter Gentle 12th September 2011.
Money doesn't talk it swears, Obscenity who really cares, Propaganda all is phony.
I'm the son and heir of a shyness which is criminally vulgar.
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way.

We've won five out of our last seven SL games. If we can repeat that over the next seven games then we will be in the mix for a play-off spot going into the final four games of the regular season. Considering where we were at 3 O' Clock on Good Friday afternoon, and the depressive mood amongst ourselves as we trudged out of the stadium, that would constitute a mini-triumph in my eyes!
Before the season started my hope/aim was to win 14/15 games (ten at home, four away) which I reckoned should have been enough to put us into the top six. That was a realistic target for us, even in a so-called 'transitional' season. If we win on Saturday then I'd say we are roughly back on track in that regard. Home wins versus Wigan/Saints/Catalans negating home defeats to Salford/Leigh/rovers.
We're still outsiders for a play-off spot, at the moment, but if we can maintain the form of recent weeks then we won't be too far off by September. My main worry is our dreadful points difference. I can't escape the feeling that if we do push ourselves into the mix, it will ultimately cost us! Unless we have a couple of big wins in the coming weeks.
Either way, I'm looking forward to Saturday's game (another big test and marker for us) and it's been a while since I've been in that frame of mind so, if nothing else, that's a positive development from April
It's never dull being a black & white is it? Frustrating undoubtedly, but never dull!!

All good points and if we can keep the pressure on those above us by closing the gap it will put some pressure on the teams above and we may see a few of them falter a little fingers crossed. We are still outsiders but if we can continue to perform as we have over the last 5 weeks then we will be in and around the play off spot which would be a success all things considered in terms of the beginning of the season.

I remember back in 16/17 I had mates who are Rovers fans telling me the Cup structure was easy, which was a bit rich from a side who got knocked out by a struggling Oldham. Don't see them complaining much now

| Of the current top 6 incumbents I think Leigh could be the ones who really drop away. Partly because they are the newly promoted club, and despite how well they have done I think the week in week out rigours of Superleague will start to catch up with them eventually. But more importantly, their cup semi is in itself the biggest game the club have had in a long long time. If they actually win the semi, I can see the rest of the league season almost being a write off for them in a similar way to how we fell away in 2016. Its a big distraction for them.

| We could have done with Warrington winning but it's funny seeing them fall apart again after the way they started the season

Yes, although the way Wire are playing they could get dragged in to the playoff scrap themselves yet. They've got Saints and Wigan in their next two games.

| Firstly well played to Leeds. Thoroughly deserved the win.
But as an advert for Super League I thought that match was an embarrassing mess?
Some players (mainly Warrington) and the officials should watch that game back from behind the sofa and cringe at how bad they were.
There was petty squabbles going on well away from the play and the officials lost all control with players continually arguing with them.
The farce over awarding Warrington try on the big screen just looked so amateurish.
Any NRL fans watching that down under must be thinking wtf.

All this in a match officiated by Chris Kendall!? It can't be true.
