Id doubt it is, so if a NRL player gets injured a week before the season starts and they want to sign Clifford, he could just go, without any notice, leaving us with a 7 days before the season starts?

I'd imagine either it comes with a big release fee or its at the end of the season.

As the article says, players can leave at any time. See Danny Levi not wishing to stay on at Huddersfield or Wade McKinnon for us in the past. On the other hand you have many more examples of players who love it over here such as Carlos.

The risk in any overseas signing is that the player and/or his family don't settle in the UK regardless of how they play. The good thing is that Clifford and Hoy can help each other adapt.

I think that I read, He says that he is bringing his family over.
Fans can help a lot by making him feel welcome

All overseas players will have the clause

Good interview with Mark O'Meley regarding the signings of Hoy and Clifford.

just hope we can find a big mobile second row although wouldnt mind trying Carlos there in a similar role to Watkins at Salford.Strong, good footwork and a bit of pace with Mitch as his centre partner it could work.
Although the two new Aussie signings are not Smiths signings he will get the best out of them and i for one are looking forward to seeing some attractive rugby next season and with the addition of pace we have hopefully a lot more exciting than what we have been used to.

Could Sutcliffe not play second row and then Griffin, Wynne or Scott at left centre?

I said myself if we don’t bring in another forward then wouldn’t mind seeing Carlos in the back row. As you say, he’s a similar build to Watkins and he’d form a great partnership with Mitch on the right.

Don’t want Griffin or Sutcliffe in the second row.

Posters have gone from 3 months of fretting about connor leaving to now fretting about a routine contract clause.
What if Clifford has a major injury
What if he has mental breakdown
What if ?
We just sit back sign up and enjoy the ride..

Sounds promising, the only thing I don’t like about that article is it’s pretty much a decade since O’Meley left. Where has the time gone?

When was the last time we had a genuine 7 with both a decent running and kicking game?
