| Well we've got a very experienced coach, and a brand new set of pivots.
Hoy
Trueman/Clifford
Lovodua/dwyer
Plenty of pace we previously lacked and creativity spread out rather than channelled all through one player.
Hopefully a couple more signings to come and lets hope we finally have luck with injurys.
Good foundations set in pivots, and a huge amount of cap available to build around those signings end of next season

He was awful for us at stand off. I admit he was pretty poor in a lot of respects at fullback, but we performed even worse with him at 6. I suspect like us, Giants will get 6/7 games out of him pulling rabbits out of a hat, and the rest of the season injured or poor.

Well according to our coach between 4-6 months. You appear to be out of date in Hull regarding current treatment on this type of injury. 10 months may have been needed in the past but no longer. The club have consulted widely in the NRL and over here, and of course with the consultants involved and 4-6 months appears to be consensus. Liam sutcliffe had a similar injury last year and was back within that time period.
Connor has already had the surgery so the clock has already started, Watson has said there’s a possibility he may even be ready for the start of the season- but obviously he will have had no preseason so it’s unlikely that will be the case.
I suspect the 10 month quoted was a combination of bad journalism and spin.

| Played his best games for us at centre. Lack of pace exposed his game at full back, and never convinced at 6.
We relied on him too much and it was a case of “give it to Connor”.
Think he’d have been even better for us if it wasn’t all on him.

| There’s nothing quite like a supercilious poster Is there?..
Perhaps jools was just letting folk see an on line article that they hadn’t previously seen..
On subject of Connor.
A thought for the few vocal fans on here that wanted him to stay..
He made it clear some months ago he no longer wanted to play for FC.
So why make a player fulfill his last year contract when he doesn’t want to be at the club.
Accept he’s gone and let’s move on.
Time will tell if he can win the giants a trophy.
I hope he does actually for Ken Davys sake.

| I think somewhere between the two you'll find the more accurate estimate. Hull will obviously spin it their way and Huddersfield the same. Only time will tell.
I was pretty neutral on his release to be honest, probably leaning more towards being disappointed, but everything i've seen or read this week makes me think Hull have made the right decision .

It's also on the other thread, plus Jools has a real bee in her bonnet when it comes to Hull/Connor and Pearson, just coming on here to have digs at the club. Still not sure she is over it.

To be honest Davey I think Watson is being a tad optimistic that Jake will be back in 4-6 months considering it seems he has had both a PCL and a microfracture injury that has required surgery. My brother in law only had a microfracture issue which he had surgery on the first week of November last year, it took him until late June/July before he could even think about starting to run again, he is still not back to running like he used too yet and he didn't have any real complications in his rehab.
Every ones different and the extent of injury will differ so will recovery times but for me it seems very optimistic to suggest 4 to 6 months so soon after his surgery. No doubt if Connor isn't back in 4 to 6 months Watson will simply come out with the standard coaches comment 'they don't need to rush him back and they are taking time to make sure he is fully fit etc'.
All in all the move has been best for both club and Jake and hopefully he makes a full recovery and realises his full potential, naturally I'm still disappointed he is no longer at our club.

I love it when people put NRL in there point to try and make it look like they are right.

Funny how first of all I’m quoting an online post, next I’m putting NRL in a post to make it look like I’m right.
schrodingers post eh.
So what is it that hurts so much, that fact he’s gone, or the fact he’s gone for nothing.
I wasn’t aware you lot would have seen a post from our club- why would I be? I don’t particularly watch interviews from your coach as a rule. Didn’t realise we were that interesting to you.

Judging by the small number of people who turn up to watch, it appears you're not that interesting to many people.
