| The demonisation of Radford continues unabated.
Like I've said previously, let's see how we look back in ten years when the trophy cabinet keys have gone rusty, and are hidden in the corner, third drawer down.

What we need is the best RL coach in the world, who was born a million miles from Hull, has no friends, doesn't know the meaning of the word loyalty, and will do it all for free.

No, we need a high quality coach, who wasn't born in Hull, didn't grow up in Hull, picks players on merit, sees loyalty as valuable but not a reason for sentiment when signing/picking players, a coach who doesn't rely on back to back cup wins, amidst some woeful results, to keep their job.
Lee has gone, who knows where we move on to now, when we eventuallt get to move on that is!

nothing to do with demonisation of radford, ill be forever grateful of those cc wins....hand on heart we all knew he had his favourites who wouldnt be dropped, look back at the majority of our heavy defeats over the last few years, the ones who got the blame were mainly fringe players and dropped the following week, his first choice players never seemed to get dropped if they had a nightmre! also our game plan was becoming stale and predictable and easy for the opposition to nulify, no plan b...fresh ideas needed

damn and blast .... if only 'bonaire' had not been born in Hull, aannnddd (don't quote me) but I did hear (bloody rumours) that he has a friend.
Looks like we need to look for the second best RL coach in the world

It hasn’t taken him long to get another job . Bet he can’t wait till the lockdown is lifted fully so he can travel and start his new job in union . I’m sure he’ll be back in super league , soon as he gets a decent offer and not as far from home .

| Demonisation thats a tad dramatic.
It was time to go as Radford knew, thing is it wouldnt of been time to go without any reasons.
Personally i think the club hull mentality has hindered us recently. Too many home growns not quite good enough to take us to the next level, and too many homegrowns not performing recently possible comfort zone.
Educate me otherwise

| We're way off topic now but it was time for Radford to go. Since the start of 2018 our win/loss record was something like 29/37. Not good enough for a club with our (sorry, cliche time) potential.
He had a good run at the job, only Arthur Bunting with a (slightly) longer tenure in the last fifty years. Thanks for 2016/2017 but time to move on.

| Maybe Club Hull will be a good thing. Imagine fewer overseas players coming back next year across the comp - no vaccine and limited appeal of spending time cooped up in the North of England when you could be in Aus or NZ where it's under control. Clubs here under immense financial pressure and salary cap reduced so players lost to the game. What to leverage in that scenario? A core of players based in Hull with some loyalty and SL experience might not be a bad thing. I'm thinking survival more than silverware but worth thinking about.

Correct. I said this on here when he got the bullet. Be careful what you wish for. Full credit to the Hull board for wanting to take the club to the next level. By sacking Radford after the CC wins is clearly a sign of intent although i can't comment too much on the rugby you played, only what i saw on the telly. Very Jeckyll and Hyde no doubt. Going in a different direction can take a long time to adapt to though and fans are fickle. Loads of Wigan fans wanted Wane out, its ludicrous when you think about the success he had and now we are having to adapt to a new way of rugby under Lam with little or no defence, completely the polar opposite to Wane. God knows how it will turn out.
