Wakefield were one of the only exceptions to the 9 game rule. They fired their coach and John Kear worked a miracle'"
Didn't you start the year you got to the GF with a stack of losses before firing Kear.
Pretty certain Catalan and Huddersfield were bottom 2 last year after 9 rounds and absolutely dire, neither finished in bottom 4

Kear was sacked after winning The Cup in Cardiff 2005. When he left, he famously said FC were about to go on a long winning run. How right he was.

No Barham is correct, we started the 2006 season slowly and Kear was sacked after the big defeat at home to saints. Agar took charge for a couple of games, then Sharp came in and the winning run continued

Wasn’t questioning his post merely pointing out that Kear had similar success to Radders but lost his job in spite of it. We all know Pearson isn’t made of sterner stuff like Auntie Kath, who clung on to both Agar and Rule.

It comes to something when a Rovers fan has more faith than some of the "alleged" supporters on here. I don't know what will happen but I certainly won't be screaming for Radders head.

| It looks like now Radford’s job is on the line, and the threat of relegation, he has turned to Ellis.
He didn’t in last years safety bubble , of a winless , injury ravaged run !

| Retired too early should have carried on and the released Mini giving us an extra quota spot.
Let's hope Raulago goes well, then we have a non quota winger with 50% Of his salary off cap to replace Talanoa next season

Reminds me of when we brought Peacock back to save the day, oh how that worked out well, heres hoping for a similar outcome

| I've got mixed feelings about this.
On one hand he's great leader and will add some much needed aggression. A year of rest may have done him good.
On the other I don't want him back a shadow of the great player he was tarnish his reputation and make a fool of himself like Peacock did.

It clearly shows the pressure that is now on Radford
That said 30 minutes off the bench of Ellis is much better than 30 minutes of any of the reserve players we have.
I hope it comes off but still see Radford sacked/leaving before Easter

I would have the Sika Manu as the starting front row with Masi allowing Dean Hadley to play his normal position.Hadley will also bolster the defence on the right edge.
Paea and Ellis off the bench.Having Gaz on the bench just might give Paea the kick up the bum he needs
Looks like Ratu will play so needs Tuimavave with him.
Pity Albo isnt fit as that would have given us the chance to move Connor back to right centre and Griffin onto the bench.

It does seem like desperate times. Bringing a player out of retirement instead of playing one of his own singings in Levy who was specifically signed for scenarios like this where we need "a thick squad". That said, Ellis will still probably be our best forward.
Even the way the squad news article is written on HullFC.com... "Hull are without no fewer than nine senior players..." really? Only 4, maybe 5 would be in the 17. Its as if we're preparing excuses before we even start.
