| I see Paul Duffen is heading the latest consortium to buy City.
Anyone remember if AP and Duffen were ever good mates?

| I read something the other day saying that whoever the money men are want the land around the stadium (and presumably the stadium itself) and are planning investments in the city presumably to sweeten the council. I can see it being a case of out of the frying pan and into the fire for us

| Duffen was the one who knocked the concerts at the KCOM on the head, IIRC.

Would have to be two separate transactions given that City don't own the land or the buildings.
As for Duffen, Not only did he put a block on big events occuring at the stadium, he was also known for making condesending remarks about RL fans.

He also allegedly pocketed money from over inflated transfer fees whilst at Hull City.
Not the sort we need back at Hull City as a Chairman.
Would rather have a low profile Chairman unlike Duffen who likes the limelight too much

For anyone interested on the Hull City Not 606 website a topic "Financial History of Hull City under the Allams" has been posted by a pretty reliable Accountant using Company House data. Estimate of all income received by City since August 2010(Allams took over the following Dec) is given as 603 Million Pounds.

I just read that. That figure does include transfer fees and any other income. As I said, city have had nowhere near £1/2bn from the PL
The same poster also says the allams haven't been skimming any money off. I guess it's just expensive running a football club

yeah i can see that. city's wage bill in the last premier league season was £66m - incidentally the lowest in the league. the next season in the championship they were still paying several big contracts. so over a period 2010 to 2018 they would easily have spent as much as they earned when you factor in the other costs outside the wages. one problem for them is the low commercial income (£6m est.), Chelsea by way of comparison get commercial income of £140m and middling clubs like southampton and swansea brought in more than twice the city amount
