| Quote: MikeyWire "A lot of Wire fans ,myself included are seriously hacked off with last Friday's implosion.
You have a fully fit squad we have injuries everywhere and confidence is at rock bottom. Add to that the already mentioned Friday M62 nightmare.. I can't blame them for not wanting to spend their hard earned on watching us get walloped.'"
You've won 8, drawn one and only lost 2 of your last 11 league games. The side you'll likely field on Friday will probably only be missing currie from last weeks team who were coasting to a win against wigan with an hour gone plus you might have some back from injury. I think wire fans need to get a grip on reality

They're definitely favourites in my mind plus I wouldn't be surprised to see sandow back. We've been gash since wembley and wire have been much better. a poor 20 minutes against wigan when they took their foot off the gas is clouding people's judgement on this. We will have to be way better than we have been since we won the cup to win this one

It looked a nice trophy last Friday night for 79 minutes until that nasty man from Red Hall took it away.

| Last Friday's capitulation got to even the most ardent Wire fans myself included. It wasn't the loss it was the ongoing soft underbelly that we can't escape.
Our recent "form" is masking the fact that we are very much a team on the ropes, make no doubt about it.
Tony Smith seems to have started doing all the stupid little things that you associate with what managers do right before they are fired.. i.e. players playing out of position, not being able to see what everyone else can see, bemusing tactics, bewildering comments, smugness etc.
Thinking scoreline around 40-12 but hope I'm just exaggerating..

| It's easy to see why Wire fans are disgruntled at the moment:
Top of the league
Multi millionaire owner
Newish ground
Contested major finals over the last few years
LLS winners twice
CC winners twice in recent history
Good coach
I don't blame them for staying away. Surprised there's not been any demos before now.

| Train up for mine, due into Hull at 1330. Where's good for a drink these days? I'm thinking Old Town in the afternoon, then Prinny Ave to (hopefully!) celebrate.

Just the atmosphere that a Wire v Wigan match will always stir up... I see a few of you have a problem with what I've said but it's the truth...
Hull fans of all people should know what it's like to be a bit disgruntled.. This board this compared to the last couple of seasons is like night and day, you're all in a bullish mood after winning the cup and have a great chance of Grand final success ... And surely a lot of credit has to go to Lee Radford, who lets not forget last season the vast majority of Hull fans wanted sacked and the board along with him...
Cue denial and abuse..

yes, of all clubs we have been disgruntled for years now. we expect better (rightly or wrongly) this season has been a amazing season for us, hopefully only going to get better.
I was one of those who wanted Lee Radford out, although never did the banners etc. But im more then happy that he has proved me wrong, the humble pie, I ate the lot. And licked the plate clean.
there was a lot of thing going on behind the scenes we were not aware of until the end of last season, which have been rectified. So long may this continue.
Don't see why you (wire fans) are disgruntled, someone above made a list of all the good things you have going at the club. Trophies, top of the league (until Friday ) good stadium, good coach, top draw players, contesting for trophies constantly...so why so angry?

Yes the Old Town, or even on the Marina there are a few places now - Minerva, Green Bricks and maybe some food at one of a number of restaurants, or head up to Princes Ave.

Head for Lowgate, Old Town. Blue Bell, Sam Smiths very cheerful and cheap. Corn Exchange, King Billy (if you have a few, he gets off his horse to go to the loo, when the clock strikes 13) and Witherspoons.
