| Quote: MarioRugby "Firstly let me just say I'm a Salford fan. Anyway Im wondering what you think your chances are against us in a fortnight. Can you really see yourselves winning? We were poor against Saints but that was a one off and you lost yourselves against Warrington. So, with this in mind, do you think you can beat us or not? What sort of game should we expect and lets have some score predictions!'"
Here's the ramblings of a fan with rose coloured spectacles who loves Hull FC. I watched Salford the other night and thought they were woeful. That then made me wonder if Warrington had flattered to deceive by beating Salford in their previous game and that we might beat them easily. Then I saw Hull v Warrington and thought that whilst Hull were a bit out of sorts and missing almost their entire left side and managed to keep Warrington to one try, Radford is still a beginner and, given more experience, would have won the game (will he get the time?). However, we didn't beat Warrington and they, in turn, didn't beat Salford easily so I think it might be closer than I would hope - but I think FC ought to win based upon the team spirit Hull is showing v the lack of cohesion shown by Salford.
I also intend to go to Salford which, given it is 20 years since my last visit to an away Salford game, shows my new-found belief that Hull is trying to repay the faith we have in the lads. I hope Salford does well this year (my boy is at Salford Uni this year and I have encouraged him to support them as his second team) but not as well as FC do.

| Let me join in. Salford are crap and FC will win this handsomely and Rovers will win a moral victory by only shipping 39 points against Wigans under 19's.

| Gareth Hock will not be appearing in this game, he has received a 6 game ban for reckless use of knees and also received two £300 fines for each charge.

He's an absolute liability to any team that he plays for, hence why nobody would sign him when he was going to leave Salford.

Or around 240 points in Rovers money.

Well played sir!
Must admit I'd be holding Hock's contract over the shredder if I was the Doc. He's been given enough chances and as Mrs B says, is pretty much irredeemable now. He's missed almost a season in bans since 2011 and anyone who thinks that's acceptable is delusional.
Where are those who wanted us to sign him now, I wonder?

His "roll of shame" on here is quite laughable, his 2014 ban was very memorable as well considering he did it right in front of the away supporting fans so we did get a front row view of the incident. The Doc seriously can't be thinking of keeping him for much longer, his discipline seems to get worse every year.

If he repented we should sign him. Radford can handle him.

Every time he strays Radford could fight him as punishment.
Seriously though the guys a idiot, he's already had far too many chances. Salford will bin him sooner or later and if any club gives him a contract then they are as idiotic as him.

Pretty sure he repented after the drug ban...

As for the game, I can't see Salford scoring more than 12 points against us, so the game hinges on whether our attack clicks well enough to get the points to win.'"
Interesting given that you were advocating us signing him a few months ago, have you seen the light now?

| I was one who would have signed him, who knows it might have worked out differently if he had signed for us.
Certainly wouldn't touch him now.
