Absolutely. We had unconverted opportunities in the first half. The most disappointing aspect for me was the penalty count (this goes for last week too); we turned over the hall cheaply too often in bad position.

| 2 games, 3 players who would be in our starting 17 injured. Not good

Same for any week in a contact sport though really, we have a big squad, and the youth system is getting praose , so time for some of the backup players to step up and prove their worth.

| Awful second half from Hull once KR started playing. Kelly proved why he is one of the best halves in the league and will be an absolute menace to defences this year. As for Campese, couldn't tell he was even playing.

| Total game of two halfs and a draw would be a fair result, we looked great in the first half, Sa, Pryce and Mini were excellent.
2nd we made too many mistakes and had poor discipline, Kelly really started to play and we couldn't handle him.
On that performance I'd say Yeaman, Talanoa and shauls placed are under threat.
Hope our injuries aren't too bad.

| On the whole I wasn't too unhappy with that. Forwards were very good. We totally dominated the first half physically and probably should have been another score or two ahead.
A bit of magic by Kelly changed the game. That try really put a spring in their step and it coincided with us making a few changes and dropping out intensity.
Credit to Rovers. They dug in well despite getting beaten up for much of the game, and a bit of Kelly (and Dixon) magic turned the game around.
It would have been nice to win, but we can take a lot from that both in positives and lessons to learn.

@James_Smailes: Gaz Ellis has a chance of playing next week, Lee Radford says physio not too concerned at present with knee injury, will know more tomorrow
Hope this is correct.

Pretty much my take on it as well.

It wasn't so much the amount of penalties that bothered me. It was that many of them were so needless. Tackles in the air, late hit on the kicker, holding down on the last when Rovers were in their own half. I can live with conceding penalties, but not needless ones like those.

| Another thought on the game is that I would be leaning towards Michaels on the wing and Talanoa at centre when Michaels is available.

Try the scapegoat thread or is Radders already irreversibly pencilled in?
