Well, obviously about as sure as we are of anything in the stories, including the idea that he wants to come to Hull. The fact that he was a regular in their team until recently doesn't really gel with the idea that they wanted rid of him.

Outside influences apparently...

| I have no idea how many (if any) of the stories around Taylor are true. And frankly I don't care. If we get him, great. If not, whatever. The whole thing has taken on the appearance of a circus and TBH I'm bored with it.

So basically because Hull can't afford to buy a contracted player we should just give him away. And because we don't want to, that makes us arrogant.
That's quite a statement you made there, any other evidence to support your claim? You were quite happy to take Chris Tuson off us, which didn't work out unfortunately. Was there something in that that caused your anger? Or maybe Wembley last year? Does it go back further?
Personally I always enjoy my visits to Hull, and I wish your club every success because you really should be top 4. (Hope that wasn't too arrogant)

Where has it said we can't afford him???....rather Arrogant of you to presume this.Whats Tuson got to do with it.....he was out of contract and had agreed to go to Wakey until money problems surfaced there. If Taylor is indeed out of favour then why activate the 3rd yr clause and from what I heard,we offerd Wigan a fee,you wanted something daft so we will wait til 2016 and you get nowt..as for Wembley, grow up,that's over and done with.

I came in peace. I was asking why the negative comments.
The 3rd year was activated because Wigan paid a fee so they should be entitled to some back for a player they have improved. One thing that puzzles me (genuine question) why didn't Hull FC sign him up from Hull KR when we did?

KR (Hudgell) wouldn't sell to us.

HOW on earth do you get NILLED at Wembley ?
When your coach isn't a winner at heart and Gentle is not a winner at heart .
We were a pub team
I coached for a long time and we won 95% of games because winning is a mental state driven by a desire to CRUSH an opposition. Did FC look as though they wanted to Crush Wigan and strangle them until they screamed ? NO
RL is a tough tough game and Maylord She-dong you have no clue

| Wigan offered more money and Scott wanted to win some silverware before retiring.

| Taylor has done himself no favours in how he has acted. It is staggering that a player of his age would want to be away from one of the best teams in the world because he is 'homesick". Most kids in his position would grasp the opportunity with both hands and go on to be a legend.
I can't blame Wigan for holding out for a transfer fee, they have not had a decent return on the money they paid to Rovers for his transfer fee.
Taylor needs to be careful what he wishes for.

I suspect wigan did it because we'd just paid £100k for sneyd and they thought we'd do the same for taylor. As it is they'll likely not have him next year anyway and won't get anything for him but the player will be unhappy. IMO, clubs have a duty in these cases to look at player welfare and if they'd come to a reasonable figure for the player I'm sure we'd have stumped up for him. As it is everyone is losing other than the club where he ends up.
If he'd been an aussie they'd have released him no questions asked

Have you got a link to a report where he is quoted as being homesick?
The reports in the Mail over the last few months have talked about his keeness to play for Hull FC, the club he and his family have always supported. Again no direct quotes but certainly nothing I can see about homesickness.
I suspect you are just a teensy bit annoyed that a very good ex-Rovers player will be pulling on a Hull shirt (albeit not for another season yet).

You're using the Mail to support your case? That's like me trying to convince a Hull fan with utterances from Mr G. Lloyd of the BBC.
The lad is clearly determined to play for Hull and if that is his dream, that's his dream. Admiralable in many ways. If Hull won't match Wigan's asking price or have annoyed them in some way, then that is business. Dog eat dog, innit? I daresay they'll get a loan fee if he spends a year at Hudds, or a player exchange. With Flower banned and rumours we might be signing Dudson or Burke, they might be in need of a prop going t'other way.
Would have been a sickener in 2012, but 3 years - well there's been plenty of water under that burned bridge.

No, I'm saying that the only reports I'm aware of regarding Taylor potentially joining Hull have been in the Mail and that none of them say that he's homesick.
