Who would put the idea of the using the kc on the same weekend as hull fc were due to play ??
Oh wait ........ Representatives from the Stadium Management Company (SMC) have offered Hearn a May 30 date due to scheduled work to be done to the KC pitch next summer.

I'm a great believer in a level playing field - the magic weekend already favours some teams more than others, and losing a home fixture is hardly fair on that teams' supporters, and, as you say, favours the "away" team. |

As I've just put on the Virtual Terrace:
Stupid idea! We already have enough 'events' on the calendar with the expanded World Club Challenge, Magic Weekend, CC Final and Grand Final. The fans won't shell out for another long trip, and even for the bigger clubs losing a major home game would be a big blow to the finances.
I agree with the above that moving the Magic Weekend to the Olympic Stadium (once the retractable seats are in) would be a better option, it has great transport connections, a massive park to hold a fan-festival and aside from West Ham that side of London has few sporting attractions.
