| Quote: giddyupoldfella "Westerman stays on the pitch and we win that game and this thread is nonsense, the lack of somebody on the field of play to step up and show a bit of leadership and control the game from a winning position cost us the game not Radford.
Millers obviously not capable of doing that, either that or he's not interested enough to.
If we have any ambition for season then we need to act now to get someone in who can do that job.'"
It's as simple as this mate .... Get a player with good game management and we will be a top 4 team I have no doubts about it . We've got the forwards to match any team in the league but we lack any organisation/attacking structure to finish off possession
Mr Pearson splash the cash and go get Dobson ASAP

I agree with yo, Radford was out of order using that excuse and needs to look at himself. He sounded like a condemned man and so he should.
If i wasn't a pass holder i'd be seriously questioning my enthusiasm to attend another game.
As some have alluded too Westy would have made no difference today as he was also reslonsible for the 5 drives and a kick.

| Too big a job for him , l'm afraid .
Too many wrong squad decisions for a start . Why leave out Whiting ?

If I had to come up with the answer to that dilemma I'd say we need to go out and get someone who can do that, but apparently the answer is to change the coach.'"
The answer is to change the coach because the coach is hopelessly out of his depth. We also need a top play-maker/leader, of course, but lack of one is a poor excuse for coughing up a 16-0 lead against a crap side like Wakey. We have players who are capable of winning games, but their attitude is inconsistent, at best. Part of that has to be down to the coaching/management of the players.

| Not a Hull FC fan but "radders" seemed to lay part of the blame for your loss on the crowd?
Not on that surely?!

Shocking to blame the crowd, the pay on the day fans have shelled out for a succession of home games which have been average performances at best. I dont blame fans for staying at home.
First time ive ever heard our fans boo the team during their lap of honour too, if that doesnt fire them up to do better then they should find another club

| Maybe thinking way too far ahead here, but does anybody have an idea of how Farr of HTW is?
I've never seen him play hence why I'm asking.
I quite like Rankin, attacks the line and does the running game well, but neither him or Miller are the general we need. Horne is too injury prone to rely on week in week out.
Hearing massive hype over HTW and it's going to be a long couple of years if he's still that far away from been ready.

| Can't believe he has blamed the crowd, need to take responsibility for this loss aswell as the players.
Wrong team selections week in week out, poor use of subs, fitness issues, poor tactics.

Nothing to lose, but Miller will be dropped this week and Horne back in.

| I'd make a move for Tony Smith, looks like he needs a new challenge, reckon Warrington would let him go. Proven track record in SL of coaching a top side and winning things.

| How bad was gentle to be sacked? surely his win ratio with cup games will never be improved this season or next ! his replacement was the man he trusted most to instil order to the camp yet had one eye on his job ! he was a good clean family man with no shady involvements ! he did not have the luggage of coaching a team he never supported as a kid ! and was ex green and gold assistant coach with good pedigree ! maybe mr pearson was ill advised somewhere along the way??

100% agree about the crowd , I grew up watching a pretty average side at the boulevard but one of my biggest memories of that time was the noise the crowd made . 10/11k at the kc and you can hear a pin drop . People need to get behind the guys in black n white IN ANY KIND OF WEATHER

| Best part of £65 to come down and watch that dross, we looked like schoolkids making elementary errors and not understanding that just keeping it tight against Wakey would have seen us win at a canter, we didn't need to produce much outstanding today.
I'm not a Radford fan, I've made that clear, he isn't the man for the job and thus it has always been..however the thought process of the players to come up with stupid plays that are going no-where, lacking thought about positioning in defence and not being able to stop their offload is just crazy.
Yes the crowd was really off key today, not a single proper rendition of Old Faithful..I've never experienced that in 36 years of following, however players should never ever need the crowd to inspire them. They are professionals, they have set goals/targets for each game, each 5 or 10 minute stint..to lose after being 16-0 up is frankly a disgusting insult to the fans.
Honorable mentions to Crookes, Thompson & Azza

Lost to Bradford today, so no point taking him because if we lost to Bradford with him in charge you'd be asking for him to be sacked.
