I think this is a shame for McDonnell but the right move for FC. McDonnell was a good player for us before his injury last year so he's not done anything wrong. But we have Shaul and I think he has bags of potential so want to see him getting the game time to fulfill that potential. And if McDonnell is on big wages as some suggest then it's a lot of wages to be sat on the sidelines that we could maybe use elsewhere.
If we do release him I wish him all the best and hope he finds another club soon.

Not about being supportive or not, it's life and it's what's for the best.
I wish him all the best.
Just because he's been injured, doesn't mean I have support a sympathetic view point and keep him at Hull FC.
He's reckoned to be on a decent wack of wages, so he really isn't a viable business option is he? Shaul is....FACT.
