Quote: mikey471 "It comes across and people taking their bat and ball home and basically being glory hunters. I may not like some of the decisions or choices the club makes, I may come away from the ground feeling totally hacked off (dobbins at Easter, Wakey and Saints at home), but at the end of the day I support Hull FC, without us fans putting the money in the club would not exist.'"

Glory hunters? I started going when we were Hull Sharks and sh*t. I still enjoyed just about every game I went to. I've enjoyed about a dozen or so games in the last 5 years as much as almost every time back then. Glory hunting is a guy I once knew who was born & raised down Boulevard and a Saints fan.

It's nothing to do with winning, it's about seeing some effort and entertainment for my money.

And as for the club not existing without us, yes that's true, but they damn well need to take majority of responsibility for themselves. It's now a pro sport, and treated as a business, so earn my custom rather than just expect me to hand it over like charity.

Having said all that, I'll probably still keep next year's pass, and that's part of the problem.

Everybody get your passes and support the club. Adam Pearson is doing all he can, he has ploughed a lot of money into the youth and he like everyone else was mortified about Thursday, unlike the previous owner last time we conceded 70 points. Who knows what might happen next year. Who would have thought Huddersfield would top the table after finishing 7th last year. I'm getting mine at the end of the month , besides what else would I get for Christmas off the wife

Quote: carl_spackler "Why don't you understand? It's really simple. I'm not sure I want to go any more, I honestly feel like I've had enough and doubt anything's going to significantly change. If this 3 divisions of 8 comes in next year will be my last anyway, so at the moment I'm thinking that I'd rather have my £200 back and just pick a few games (the same way the team have this year).'"

Similar to how I feel. Lately I've been approaching games wondering which Hull FC will turn up, it definitely shouldn't be like that.

So why the hell did you buy one in the first place then ?

Genuine question, which I would like genuine answers to. How much money has he ploughed into youth development?

I know he's made some shrewd moves in setting up strategic partnerships with public sector organisations who have assets the club can utilise (Sirius, Bishop Burton) but the way people talk it's as though he's funded the building of these facilities out of his own pocket.

If anyone can explain what investment capital he's put in approximately I would appreciate it.

From talking to people who have sons in the academy. They tell me there has been a massive change in everything to do with youth for the better. That doesn't come cheap

Its becoming easier to walk away. My first game was back in 76. In 90 I moved to London and have remained in the south ever since. In that time I have always been a regular. Was a season ticket holder until we decided the corporate pound was better than the ordinary fans pound and started playing on Fridays.
Following Thursday night I have decided for the sanity of me and my family I will become a glory hunter. I will also be proud to be a glory hunter.
I have ploughed thousands into the club. A club I love dearly. But like AP did in 2011 I have drawn a line in the sand. Thursday epitomised how the club has been going since the move to the KC. Thousands on the terraces paying good money over to follow a team we all love. How are we rewarded? We ain't. It's as simple as that. 2005 was as good as it will ever get. I have had many many lows since 76 but I always felt the boys in B&W were trying no matter who the opposition or how big the stars were in the team.
What I see now is a squad that has a handful of 100% players ( Horne, Whiting being the main two) but the rest who really don't give a SH.. When you shell out as much as I do for petrol alone to get to a match and always fearing it could be the side who don't give a SH.. Who are going to turn up you have to start to make decisive decisions.
I have a choice crry on with low bank balance and raised blood pressure or provide a better standard of entertainment for my family and I to enjoy.
Thursday was that moment I made the choice. I will still look forward to my dream Wembley win. I just might not have seen many of the players that do it eventually play.
It means the money for shirts and other merchandise that I buy for myself and 4 kids will be saved. It will be FCLive saved on and most of all my sanity. That is until we have a squad that competes and puts in 100% for the club every week. I don't care if we get relegated, have to go part time etc because many do the same. In some respects it might be more enjoyable.
But I can no longer justify walking away from grounds feeling disappointed when its costing so much. That for those of you who blindly follow and will be there at all costs is the reality of the situation. I foresee the Friday corporates will drop off and it will be then that the club needs its hardcore fans. In my case due to a number of factors I feel it won't be there to pick up the slack.

Also I was talking to one of the players a couple of years ago. Who had just come back to pre season training after AP had bought the club and he said it was like he'd walked out of an amateur club and walked back into a proffesional club in one off season

Main reason was because I have for years, almost automatically. Also, the 3 divisions of 8 looming, which is when I definitely won't be doing, so it feels a bit like the last act.

Genuinely gutted that fans like you who've made such commitments are turning away but fully understand and support your right to do so.

It's a great shame that such a well supported club have been starved of the success the long suffering fans deserve but hopefully a long-term focus on youth will see us build the kind of foundations Leeds and Wigan have built their recent success on.

I think we'll just have to accept a few years of finishing 5th-6th in order to build towards having our own dynasty in the late 2010's that win 3-4 GFs in a 7 year span.

Your certainly not the only one. I too have had a Season Pass for years but as things stand won't be getting one for next year. Fed up of paying good money to come away from the game feeling disappointed and downbeat.

We don't have a 'right' to win every game, but we do have a right to expect the team to at least be motivated & committed. Our defeat to Wigan at home was actually one of the highlights of the season despite the result, because of the quality of rugby on display from both sides.

Some of my current mood isn't all of the clubs doing, I think the standard of SL in general has dropped and there have been a lot of forgettable games this year. For example the playoffs so far have only had 1 good game (Leeds-Saints) and I suppose Hudds-Wigan was watch able, the rest have been dire.

all in all that spark and passion for the club and RL as a whole just isn't there for me at the moment. Hopefully a good World Cup and changes at the club will get be back in the mood before 2014.
