I agree to some extent but by being targetted he will be in the forefront of the players minds and as such more likely to the vote. Its rare you find an 'outsider' getting into the top three regardless of how good they've been

So, who do you think should have been MOS over the last three seasons, because from what I can ssee, the right player has won it each time...?

Last year could have been a few, didn;t think it was Tomkins best year TBH,
The year before was a joke, Tomkins was head and shoulders above chase, as was monaghan etc, god knows how he was even considered.
Roby the year before that was justified.

| Be very wary of h/cap betting. The idea of a handicap is to have all 'runners' with the same chance. Therefore in a 12 team comp, you would want odds of above 8/1! These are just 'bookie' bets.

So if we managed the same, (and we had a few mares, dropping points we should never have done) we'd get 8/1?
Sounds generous to me.

Seriously i think Westerman is a very good player who could be fantastic and with another year under Gentle plus better quality personell around him i am hoping for big things from him this year, even bigger things than Ellis if im honest

If Westerman kicks on from, lets be honest, being disappointing last season (compared to the hype when he signed) then it will be great, I don't think he'll outstrip Ellis, but I'd love it to happen, especially as I've heard good things about Ellis in the friendlies.

How many points were we behind Wigan after last seasons regular season finish?'"
Don't forget that means you've also got to finish less than 4 points behind Leeds, more than 17 points in front of Widnes etc and so forth...

Whatever happens though i done expect this team to start ticking till about six weeks in. The question is will everyone have the patience to let the team gel?

Won't you be the one of the first desperados if we string a couple of early losses together?
You usually are Seb.

That will depend on the team that Gentle picks, if it's new combinations (as it appears to be) then I will haappily reserve judgement for 6/8 games, but if we go for the old stagers who have been found wanting for a few years then I'll be angry and frustrated. (Injuries aside, of course)

Get some moaning in early doors.
You might be banned again by mid-season?

The only reason people have been disappointed with Westerman is if they had unrealistic expectations IMO, pretty much based upon the fact that we paid a fee for him.
I would actually say that towards the end of both of his seasons with us he has been amongst, if not out on his own as, our best forward(s), and at no point would I say he has been amongst our worst players. The problem is that some people seem to think that £150k should mean that he should be winning games for us on his own and amongst the MOM contenders every week, when in reality it means no such thing. The ugly truth is that he is a very good player, and the reason we paid £150k is because the club realised that had they waited for his contract to end there was a very good chance that he would have done better than us at that time and gone elsewhere.
A real error amongst our fanbase is this strange belief that players perceived to be expensive should be miracle workers able to perform in any circumstances and without any fluctuations in form. There needs to be more contact with reality.

| Can get Warrington at home (V Cas) -16.5 and Wigan away ( V Salford) -16.5 double at 1.47/1 on skybet, surely thats printing money can't see either Salford or Cas scoring more than 2 tries each and Wigan/Warrington will both score more than 5 tries
