I see Paul King coming off the 18th nearly every Saturday morning and we're heading to the 1st tee.
In the past I've seen Paul Cooke, Richard Horne, Graeme Horne, Danny Tickle there also (I played a few holes with Tickle. Play was slow and I was on my own behind him and his friend so he offered if I fancied to join his group).
Also played an ex-Rovers association golf day earlier this year where we saw Blake Green, Ryan O'Hara, Graeme Horne and I think it was Scott Murrel.
Seen a few out in town on a night out before (shared a taxi home once with Sir Richard of Whiting!).'"
Played golf with Johnny Whitely at a charity day a few years back. Lovely bloke and heard a few stories and opinions that day!

We lost the Union half 36-10 (although 3 of their tries came from us losing the ball in the ruck) - we played by far the better rugby and they were shocked at how well we managed to play, despite 10mins of Union practice in the warm up.
We wont the league half 40-6, so overall we won 50-42 to win the Waitrose Cup!

| Once saw a group of lads having a less than cordial conversation with the doormen outside a club in Llanelli and saw in the middle Scott Quinnell and his brother and a smaller right gobby ferker trying to get this one particular doorman to take him on one to one!!
PAUL PRENDERVILLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I walked up and said "oy my sister who lives on hessle road in Hull needs to have a chat with you about a son you dont know you have" his arris fell out and he stood open mouthed looking at me till i burst into laughter along with the group of lads he was with and we spent the whole night with them from Llanelli onto a club on the Mumbles and then into a rugby club called the New Dock Stars which we left at half 4 the next afternoon...
some seriously funny stories in that session , scott quinnell dancing naked all but his socks and shoes on a pool table, his brother in law (whom Paul worked as a builder for) laying £500 in £20 notes on the bar to cover all eventualities , the police walking in and themselves not leaving till past lunch the next day minus handcuffs which were on his brother in law who was cuffed and left cuddling a pan where we found him LMFAO .
one of my greatest memories of all time and up to a few years ago still spoke to PP regularly ... really nice fella as were the Quinells (Scot is one man mountain of a fella)

Just spoke to one of their players. Said that he really enjoyed the league half but couldnt get to grips with having to backpeddle 10 metres in defence. Also said that they would have murdered you if the scrums had been contested in the Union half. Literally i think!

Apparently though, if you dont have an experienced front rower when you play union then they have to be uncontested, even in amateur union games!
Even with the ball in league, once our line speed was good, they made no yardage really, we were hitting them quite hard.

| didn't realise Rich Whiting was as tall as he is, walked past him in Morrisons a few weeks back and I'm 6'4 but he still seemed to tower above me, get why they call him stilts, don't know why he never went into basketball

| Slightly off topic, but at a sponsors lunch just prior to the 2004 CC final in Cardiff I had to tell Shaun Edwards he was sat in my seat.
