The only player to be punished and yet the referee saw nothing. Amazing RFL.

This type of ban is happening all the time, don't feel victimised. Con Mika copped the same after a tackle in the away game at Warrington. I watched the full game back on HKRtv and still couldn't find the tackle they were on about.
It shouldn't have been that hard, he's only made 1 all season!

| Similarly Elliott Whitehead against us, probably was a dangerous tackle and was penalised, but in no way was it a suspension.
Yet knocking someone out through poor tackling isn't worth a ban?

| The perception at the minute for me is that if you are a first time offender you are already guilty no matter what as if you don't put in a guilty plea and turn up you will automatically get 2 matches plus a fine and 1 match if you do plead guilty. At the minute there seems to be no mechanism in place for guilty pleas for a players previous record to be taken into account as far as I can remember Whiting has never been before the panel and only has 1 sin bin offence (professional foul holding down after a break).
Seems so wrong when you remember Chase just got a caution for punching Whiting a few weeks ago.

| Whiting's a loss but we have good cover. Horne returns to 6 and then we can put either Ellis, Kent or Bowden onto the bench.
Ellis if we want an extra back available as we usually have Whiting to cover most positions, or have Ellis spell Houghton.
Bowden or Kent if we want to have an extra forward on the bench and keep all of our pack fresh.

| Haven't seen the Whiting incident obviously so can't comment on it but would've thought his record would've gone before him so I think he's probably unlucky. I'm chuffed he's out on Saturday though, great player.
One i have seen though is Sinfield's and there is no way on Earth he should get banned for that!

The thing is, by copping an early Guilty plea, there was no decision by the RFL. Surely the club must have studied their own tapes of the incident before advising of the plea?

I think you'll find that it was the club who decided on a guilty plea, not the committee. It was the MRP that decided the grading of the offence, so the club must have some sympathy with their decision, otherwise they'd be contesting it.

| Shocking decision Whiting gets banned for a high tackle but Carl Ablett gets away with gouging Manu's eyes out 2 weeks prior :S
