| Pearson is 100% right to make the call to fans to get down to the KC and support the lads. He's the owner and knows that we need a well supported club to move to the next level and be consistent winners. As usual the local rag has to dramatise things by having him 'pleading' when in reality it is probably more of an invitation to get down and be a part of the new look club as it is now. He didn't seem to be 'pleading' on Airlie Night last night but was just encouraging fans to turn out.
That said there is less money about. People are less inclined to buy now on credit and pay later - less able to find the money for entertainment and have to be more choosy about what they do and when they do it. Pearson will know this but it rightly shouldn't stop him from issuing the rallying call. It is expensive to watch Hull but he can't run the business at a loss - anyone who thinks otherwise should have a look around the league. What he should do is get the terms of the SMC deal renegotiated and then look to give some incentives. If the deal can't be renegotiated then he can't just discount everywhere and finish up like Bradford.
As has been mentioned some people prefer the pub and will spend their money on ale and watch from there. Their choice. In my opinion it will be 2 seasons before the missing 1500-2000 return (I don't agree that we're missing 3-4000 as is sometimes reported). They will only return however if the team is successful because it's this group of fans that always come and go depending upon results. It's harder than ever to get these fans back in tough economic times and success is required first. Pearson will know this but is right to continue to urge supporters back - if he doesn't who else will ?

| I've not read the article but see nothing wrong with Adam sending out a rallying call to the fans. Yes times are difficult financially for all of us and that must include Adam himself, he is not a bottomless pit of money and would like some return and if that's asking for fan numbers to increase then big deal. The product and club have improved so far so I agree with him.
Instead of getting angry over it just accept it for what it is, an owner of a club wanting bigger gates to justify his investment and to generate a bigger following behind the team on match days.

| How does anybody come up with a figure of £70 to attend a match? I take myself and my 2 kids, they each have a pass, meaning each game costs £3.85 for them. My ticket is £19. Stop at Herons to buy 1 Pepsi, 2 flavoured waters, 2 bags of wine gums and a pack of 5 fruit-tella sweets = £3.60.
So unless my Maths is wrong that means a game costs me £29.90 hardly breaking the bank!

Stop being so precious, you'll be mentioning the 'C' word next
And as far as the "Top 5" are concerned, we've only got 4 in the RL Fans top 10 - with Paul M at No. 1

| If Pearsons plea puts just another 500 bums on seats it will have been worth it.
