| I was actually disappointed with the crowd, considering Wire brought around 1000 I expected us to get near to 14k. Weather probably played a part and we are still recovering from the KH/Agar fallout in terms of fans attitudes.

| I travel to home games by car from West Yorkshire. When I looked outside on Sunday morning I didn't fancy the journey. The combination of being a tight Yorkshireman, and the withdrawal of the voucher exchange scheme was enough to make up my mind, and I made the trip - and I'm glad I did
The roads were very dodgey both ways, with ice and freezing fog (down to -5 going back), and I can understand why some stayed away. Apparently there was an 8 car pile-up on the A63, and cars were diverted towards Howden on ungritted minor roads to avoid it. Roll on summer rugby!

I came over from South Yorks and the waether and roads were OK until the Ouse, when there was freezing fog all the way to Brough. Seemed OK after that though. Going home later we avoided the M62 and went across the bridge and along the M180 in -6 and freezing fog again. Not ideal but I'm glad we made the effort. Can understand why some didn't and credit to Wire for coming in such numbers despite the conditions.

I can see it now...
Leeds owl in hospital bed: Doctor was the operation a success?
Doctor: Yes dont worry after about a month you may feel a weird sensation in your back area, that will be your backbone growing ...
Leeds owl: do I have to come back for physio??
Doctor : no sorry we have thousands of other Rhinos fans all needing to grow backbones I am afraid and then we have years of triple personality bypasses to do on the remainder.
Leeds Owl: Doctor i also need to discuss this arsse transplant i had last year.....
Doctor: Yes I know the arsse we grafted onto you has rejected you i know , lets get you a backbone first laddie.

| Travelled up from Sussex and boy am I glad I did. Fog patches going home and of course the M62 closure. But whilst I wouldn't be doing every week on this occassion despite the weather I am so glad I did.
I was sat in the West stand and i have to say the East stand didn't look overly full. 12500 I think was about right.
Down on last years game but I am sure there was a large number of vouchers from season passes used on that occassion.
I suspect a good few were put off by the weather and probably the prosepect of yet another false dawn. I am sure they regret that now but who could blame them. They will be back providing the performances remain at that level.

| i travelled from warrington and personally think just short of 13k in that weather is a pretty good effort.re the price , it cost me 46 pounds for 2 adults and free for my son with season ticket voucher.throw in the free parking and not bad value imo to watch great entertainment in a quality stadium.whole experience was very positive considering the weather so why look for negatives!!!!

| No reason to doubt the stated crowd.
I sit in the East Stand Unreserved section at the south end and there were plenty of empty seats on the 10 yard line. If the east Stand is full then I reckon on a total crowd of 14,000 but not on Sunday.
I think the off season activity, the new regime, has been enough to persuade last season's supporters to turn out , but only a consistent run of improved performances and results will encourage a higher walk up gate (having typed that it seems like a statement of the bleeding obvious).
I would be happy with that this season hopefully leading to a secure place in the top 6 and a good showing in the Challenge Cup and the Play Offs.
For 2013 we will hopefully see major recruitment and a step up to the top 4. We have slipped back so far since 2006 that these goals would represent a step change in our fortunes as a club and as supporters.
C'MON YOU HULL !

| Decent gate not stunning but not worth hand wringing over. At the end of the day it's what happens on the pitch and putting ourselves in a position to win things that will bring the floating punters in.

How long you been a fan? Hull ALWAYS used to stand in the South Stand with you lot, electric atmosphere and no casualties. Just like when we always stood next to the Salford fans in the shed.

| To be honest think it was to be expected, many have renewed this season but also many are waiting to see if the proof is in the pudding this time around after so many false dawns and broken promises.
Take into account the current financial climate and the awful weather then i think it was a decent turnout.
If under Gentle the team plays entertaining rugby and the results are coming there is no doubt the numbers will improve. Unfortunate the new owner is paying for previous regimes errors and pushing its fans past breaking point.
