Quote: Raggytash "Nope, I don't think Horne was good last week, I thought he was poor, and Seymour was really poor. I also think our antipodeans are given a lot more rope. Last week Seymour's kicking game was really weak, and was ok today. Everything that was good about us today involved Horne though, and I wanted to make sure he got some credit for a change. I agree Horne's not been as consistent as I'd like, but to pretend Seynour has been better when he clearly hasn't so far, is criminal.'"

Well said. Horne MOM, followed by Mckinnon, then Yeamon I reckon.

HOrne gets too much unwarranted abuse on these boards, and others can do seemingly no wrong. Horne for me was by no means our failing last year, but after last week you would have thought him personally responsible for our last 4 years of woe.

HOrne has been a great player for FC, and I hope this season is a good one for him. Seymour and Horne will do well, IMO.

Shhhhhhhh, you are not allowed to watch the game. Seymour is a god, and HOrne is a worthless cretin. Come on, get with the mindless masses!

Then we can select another player for "FALL GUY FOR THE ATTACK OF THE MINDLESS"

Maybe if you had attended for the last few years you would understand some peoples concerns about Horny....As for people declaring him a great player next week it will take more than 2 games to convince!!..Horney has got some good rugby in him however like I say had you attended you would understand it is not consistent, he has had more poor games than good the last couple of seasons. Saying that i am sure all fans will be ecstatic if he can regain some consistency in his final years of the game.

You know why I have not been for the last two years a026.gif LOL

Most of the current player are the last mobs signings and that includes Rich Horne, I think we should all stand back now and see what developes. Horney has had a couple of serious injury/illness problems and no settled half back partner since Cookey defected. He was expected to lead the team around the park, a job he was never upto, given game plans with no back up plan.

Lets see what he can do now under a proper coach, if not bye bye

anyways how uans doing ?

I actually think having 2 half backs biting at the bit in the background may help towards Horney achieving consistency because if he does not either Ellis or Nicklas will play their skin out given the chance to secure a spot.

Oh and I am well by the way icon_biggrin.gif

Horne has been a decent player for Hull, I just can't see the 'legend' status some seem keen to bestow on him. Average super league player in an average super league team, the fact he's a Hull lad seems to cloud peoples' view of him.

Not read the rest of the thread. He was excellent today with his tackling, kicking, running and distribution. Well played Horney the challenge is to keep that level of performance consistently.

Not you plantpot icon_lol.gif

Or Horney its the way every season a player gets selected for special treatment by a section of the fans. I just think its one thing having a jar down the pub discussing players, the team , performances etc but on here its far too public. Can you think back to your younger days around the team of the 80s and some half wit spouting off about at say Knocker, Crooksy icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif or worse still Woodsy.

Glad u is ok and I bet missing us all

The 2 best tries of the game were McKinnon's, and IIRC Horne was involved in neither (I'm trying to remember the initial break for his 2nd, was it Manu who fed Yeaman?).

Don't get me wrong, he did have have a good game, but to paint it as if the entire good performance revolved around him is inaccurate. Seymour was as important to us today.
