maybe you should comment on things you know about, like, errr, errrm, no, crack on, otherwise you'll be bored.'"
After a quick Google search, I found this number: 0800 567474.
You may want to give them a call? The number is for an anti-bulling support group who specialise in adults being bullied over internet message boards.

fair enough, is Chamberlain Road where there was (is?) a driving text centre, near an Irish Club (if I am thinking of the right place?)

in which case I can understand the objections, unless Barratts are intending to build some kind of improved road infrastructure, but I can't see (from memory of the area) how that could be achieved?

| The only logical extension would be an access road from James Reckitt but I dont think that is possible anyway. Coming from the other sides wont be plausible either.

| Is 100 houses, probably a maximum of 200 cars going to make that much of a difference?
Its not like they will all be driving at the same time....

It's not just the extra cars for the homeowners, your looking at extra traffic from a whole host of people (Post/Utilities/Couriers/Waste disposal and many more) in an area where it is bad enough already.

Wright Homes tried that (before they went bust) between 105-107 JRA (iirc). They wanted to purchase the house and flats on either side of a "tenfoot" but the owners wouldn't budge. Same for Woodhall Street (the Farmhouse owner wouldn't sell) and Bibury Close. The only access onto the site is the single track from Chamberlain Road literally a foot or two away from the pedestrian crossing.

Is that the one with the gates on (or used to have the gates on) that you used to drive up to the clubhouse?

Yes thats the one. The plans show that it will be kept as a single track because if they widen it it would encroach on the (already too small) playing pitches.
It is also on a pedestrian crossing which can't be moved because of Fordyke Stream cycle track so not sure how they would manage this.

So that tiny access road is going to be serving 100 homes!!!! That's ridiculous.
Just for those who don't know the road here is a snapshot from Google maps

Yep, hence 500 objections and a 2,000 name petition.

| Not surprised, i know whenever we played there you could never get two cars going past each other without encroaching on the grass.

Do you have to remind me I had to sit on that tiny yellow barrier to the right this morning with the dogs until I am fit enough again
The pitches will be on the front overlooking Chamberlain and the houses will be towards the back where the Pavillion and tennis courts are.
