I'm sure that we're really going to smash a hole into the top four with a squad that is very light in the forwards and still has a very weak right hand side. Now that's being "realistic".

I haven't seen anyone disregarding the salary cap. What I have seen are fans questioning how our squad can be close to the cap now when compared to other squads in SL, especially after recent quotes from AP and McCrae.

who outside the club knows who gets paid what?

maybe other clubs are better at negotiating deals, with or within the cap!

We have brought in some really good players for next and git a new coaching set up. Why not see them play before the moaning starts.

Nobody knows, certainly not me. However, I know quality and depth in a squad when I see it and we haven't got enough of it when compared to the top sides.

Whether they're managing the cap better ,spending more money and showing more ambition or just cheating the cap, who knows but our squad does not match up (if we are spending the same amount)

I doubt we will smash the top4 either...but I am confident Gentle will get an extra 10/20% out of the players do have, and combined with better game plans that will be enough for a 5th/6th finish.

We can make a top4 assault the year after when he's brought some better quality in.

I don't know why people are being so negative...if Pearson hadn't bought the club we'd most likely be sat contemplating another season of Agar in charge, another 'exciting' 8th place finish, and the lowest number of pass holders since the move to the KC.

be honest with yourself, did you expect us to be matching the likes of warrington, wigan, saints and leeds next season? i don't, rome wasn't built in a day! end of next season i will be expecting more to be delivered than this season.

I honestly think that we have now got rid of almost all of the dross from the squad. With that in mind, I would expect us to be in a position to be able to make a couple of more than average signings.

The signing of Martin makes no sense at all and to be now told that that's more or less it, is very disappointing.

I just want to turn up to games (particularly home ones) with that belief back that Hull will be properly preferred, have a proper tactical plan and that we have a chance of beating the opposition.

But I still get the impression that we are paying too many average players too much money, which is limiting our ability to make good signings. When really a squad should consist of a few high-paid top class stars, with the rest being filled by promising youngsters.

Yes I agree with that. Don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting miracles but after being very very impressed with everything that AP and McCrae have said and the subsequent clearout of players in the last couple of months, I did expect at least one or two signings to be excited about.

Yesterday's and today's events have just left me feeling deflated and disappointed about 2012 even though, like you said, not having Agar in charge is the one biggest and most exciting thing!

Our biggest let down has been our non existent kicking game,which hopefully will be addressed by Seymour,Ellis and Heremaia.A good kicking game makes a huge difference,and our options in the halves should improve us no end.
