Mcrae offered Mallinson the job. There is still a role there for him if he wants it.

I thought Cookey was up for the bag-man's job?

Bad day Phillip? 42-year-old with no head coach experience. Underwhelmed much, I assume?

Lots of fancy talk about sports science and training etc, then sign this fella who, no offence, hardly seems hugely experienced and cutting edge. Was hoping we'd get someone with NRL experience in this role tbh, especially, as some have said, with some fitness "projects" to handle.
Agreed. Very underwhelming choice, I don't understand it. Hope they have got it right.

| Pearson offered it to someone then retracted on Mcrae's advice.
That guy now has a pick of three SL clubs and Hull have ended up with JT's mate
I hope Pearson putting all his faith in Bomber does not come back to bite him. He was advised by people from Hull City and a top player/now agent to go for someone fully qualified and with vast experience, he has gone for someone who is neither.
That does not mean the bloke will do a bad job though and he may well prove to be a good signing.

Has led something of a nomadic existence in recent seasons around the lower leagues of RU and more recently doubled-up as a player/conditioner at an under-performing Doncaster side.
Recently linked up with David Howes - this will be his first full-time role.'"
As long as he is a good conditioner I couldn't give a flying one if he was Billy Slater or Hutch Maiava.

Which told us nothing about how good of a conditioner he is. Just that he is one.

Exactly.
But more importantly that Doncaster under-performed and he is a Howes man.
He is also only half qualified in comparison to every other Conditioner in SL except perhaps Billy Mallison who's qualifications I do not know anything about.

Exactly! Which is why, I think, as long as he is good enough I don't care if he was a poor rate rugby player.
Bomber is also a 'Howes man'. As is Gareth Ellis .

| I don't buy into this, somebody only having half/uncompleted the required qualification as a conditioner should not be on our radar, it goes against everything that AP is about in having the best to work for the club. The source of the info could well have been a little suspicious, and the suggestion that he got the job because he is a 'mate' of JR is equally ridiculous.
IF itis true, then it beggars belief employing someone of the standard he is at.
