| My problem with reserved east stand seating is
1) I sometimes take the in-laws/friends with me - they probably only go to half of the games per season. If I had a reserved pass, they wouldn't be able to sit with me. (I think if you visit the ticket office before the match day you can swap your tickets but I don't live in Hull and only visit for the matches.)
2) If you sit in unreserved, you can move if the person in front doesn't know the rules and is doing your head in. If you've got a reserved seat, you're stuck with them.

but, conversely, if they can sell every seat in the East Stand as reserved then they can fill it, I can see both sides of the argument.

| When I got back to the UK in summer 2007, before I got a pass I used to go in West Stand unreserved, we were good then and the view and atmosphere was pretty good. The stadium looks fuller too as you are looking at the east stand!

| I liked the fact you could to Hull sit in the ureserved part and if your mates who dont go every week fancy tagging along they can, we can all sit together too.
I hope they make it unreserved again, this season ive been in the south stand and its painful in there.

I am pretty sure if you get a pass and don't like the people around you the club would let you move it to another vacant seat.

Its not often that any of the stands are at capacity (derby excepted) so on those occasions you took others with you, you could sit in a seat other than the one allocated by your pass.
I don't live in the area and for the 2 games I missed this season I exchanged vouchers at the ticket office 15 minutes before kick off.
If you don't like the person near you, as per my first point, its rarely packed.
A solution to your problem is, the West Stand.

Why do you think they'd charge a fee?

You just about get used to it after 4 or 5 seasons - doesn't stop me moaning about it though

because they would have to issue a new pass and do a certain amount of adminsitration, it's not FC that would do this but the SMC.

They dont have to issue a new pass, just a front ticket for your book. The vouchers dont have a seat number on them just a book number. Simple job of allocating you to a different seat and printing out the ticket for your pass.

That is because they have to issue another book of vouchers. A change of seat is just one printed ticket which slots into the front of your book.
Also duplicate passes have been given free when the old pass has been shown (mangled in washer etc) but if you do not have the old book they cannot issue a new one without charging. If they did you would get people going in saying they lost their pass and then their mates have got a cheap pass for the season.
