| A terrible way for a great career to end. I feel priviliged to have watched him over the past two seasons. He has been a great leader on and off the pitch and I hope his ultra professional attitude has rubbed off on some of the younger players. I too would like to wish him all the best for the future. |

No a legend for me is a player who leads his team against adversity to win something. Players like Swain, Kearney and Knocker. |

I would just like to say thanks to fitzgibbon for his high level of performances in the black and White shirt especially as a lot of them have been through the pain barrier it's been a privilege to watch you week in week out, after watching you for Sydney nearly ten years ago I never dreamt I'd see you in the black and White of hull Fc, thanks and good luck to you and your family in the future.

I would agree with that. Very rarely a player will play so few games for a club but still be regarded so highly by the fans. |
