Good for us as it means the beer will have only been in the lines for a few hours as opposed to a few days. Great news.

| Pearson was always going to do this, he obviously has other motives with him deciding a week before the survey ends.
Just hope its for the right reasons. We've experienced record pass sales year on year and increasing average attendances too. We all know why that's ended this year and it has nothing to do with Friday nights.
For me it works out better as I can now bring the 2 young uns who'd have normally not been able to come.
But let's not kid ourselves that Pearson is doing it for the fans, this was decided a while ago.

| What a load of rubbish this is. Falling ticket sales? We have some of the leagues highest averages in the past couple of seasons and that was on Friday night rugby!
Play better rugby and the fans will come.

what "other motives" might these be?
Have to love some people on here, someone comes in and makes clear statements about taking us forward and all they see is conspiracy.

Conspiracy? Are you paranoid? I said he'd already decided it beforehand and him announcing it a week before the survey ends only goes to prove it. Don't be so naive in just disregarding what Phleb said, its certainly a possibility.
But, given your posts on anything Pearson since he took over its clear he can do no wrong in your eyes.

| The simple fact remains, Pearson paid a lot of money for FC he is a business man and at the end of the day it is all about the dosh, as has been pointed out it clearly has nothing to do with the fans wishes as the survey has not even finished!

I agree and J Rule has confirmed this on numerous occasions when asked. I didnt renew my pass this year because of the dross last year and with the wind of change was hoping next season new coach, new pass, but unfortunately i cant make Sundays now due to work commitments so there goes my season already. As for Friday nights on sky it aint going to be too many games to those who cannot go on a Sunday.
This like said in previous post was already on the cards well before the survey. (smokescreen)

Money!
More away fans are likely to travel on a Sunday.

If he had other motives would it not have made sense to wait until after the survey closed so as not to attract suspicion? Possibly he already had a fair idea of the way the wind was blowing before the survey was sent out and the response so far has been so overwhelmingly in the same direction that waiting for the survey to end isn't necessary?
Think I'll keep an open mind on this one.

| At least people can make the decision to buy a pass knowing that the home games are going to be played on a Sunday, maybe thats why the decision to change has been made so early, passes will be on sale in October so at least people can make an informed decision on whether to buy one with all the information before them, hopefully this will include a new coach and any potential new signings.

I thought the pro-Friday camp always claimed this to be nonsense? Not sure the figures back it up either TBH - in fact moving from Sundays to Fridays had little effect on crowd numbers overall IIRC.

Maybe the vast majority of surveys sent out or requested have been returned? After all it took about 3 minutes to complete and send back.

Perhaps. It's a rapid turnaround though.
