Problem with unproven coaches from the NRL, is that they
all may have the same current training techniques and tactics, but
the differentiator is man-management skills!!

Noble is good, but... look at how Maguire transformed them in 3 months
with the same players,except Deacon.

Wigan took a gamble, with Maguire, as nobody could have known his man-management skills.

His coaching credentials, were never in question.

and I don't think we would with Noble, I don't think he has the respect of the current players in SL, or those coming over from Australia.

Previously I would have taken Noble in a second as he would be an infinite improvement on Agar and I thought he was the best we could hope for under the old board. With Pearson though I think we can aim for a lot better and the only way to go is Australian, and not the ageing never-quite-made it types like Peter Sharp and 'Uncle Dennis' either.

Someone rightly points out that most good Aussie coaches want to go back after a couple of years but IMO that just means we should go over and find the next up and comer each time, I couldn't give a monkey's about developing young British coaches.

The players either respect the coach or do one imo.....I also disagree with your statement tbh there is no evidence to suggest he is disliked.

agree about the development issue, if a young british coach feels they need some development then show some personal ambition and go to Aus for 4 years and learn your trade, I had to put myself out to progress in my career, nobody did it for me.

Think you'll find he is and has been for some time.

I'd take Graham Murray also, possibly DOR type role
