| This could be a step in the right direction for the club and the supporters, although I am a little wary at the minute but like wilf says il reserve my judgement until the deal is done and the relevant parties are revealed.

| Not sure what to make of this news. Pearson seems okay but with his connections to the Allams that makes me nervous.
Are the current board so bad? Really? Okay most fans think we need a new coach but the recruitment has been good along with the willingness to pay transfer fees and the club is run very well off the field.
Maybe it's better the devil you know.

Now if at some point Allam does get involved, so what he appears to be a man who is not short of a bob or 2 and not shy at throwing his money about..he may be mad but I can live with that, no madder than Kath imo.
We have a good set up now and we could hit the dizzy heights of the 80s on the playing field with the right people on board, I think it is exciting times ahead.'"
So you're happy for the man who has stated to the world that he wants to merge us and rovers to get involved in Hull?
allam buys hull city
allam states he wants the rugby clubs to merge
allam tries to pressurise the council into selling him the KC for a pittance
allam "gifts" hull kr £1m
allam's right hand man takes over Hull FC
If that makes you happy then you're more trusting than me

The only issue with the board is the fact they stick with agar
If they sold out to a lifelong Hull fan I'd be happy. Selling the club to the mad egyptian's right hand man sounds like a recipe for disaster to me

The current board are not that good, our sucess on the field and drop in attendances reflect that. We do not make a habit of paying transfer fees like the sucessful clubs do eg Wire...
I have mixed feelings about our signings, I would say gerenally they are good but we appear to favour age and injury prone players imo.
There is no reason or evidence to suggest Pearson would not run our club as well of the field as the present board do, the difference is he is not a man who accepts mediocracy.

| 4 or 5 years ago I would have thought it a brilliant idea, in the interim period he's walked away from City, only to come back when they were in the mire, he's presided over the Allams taking control and is, from the outside looking in, in their pocket. IF he's paid around £3m for the club then it is within his personal wealth to have done so, but I am not jumping with joy just yet.
One thing is for certain, if you can buy Hull FC for £3m then the loose change down the back of my sofa should pay half of what it would take to buy KR.

I am happy for him to be a small shareholder if he wants to throw his dosh about...It is clear Pearson is the owner.

The Allams probably aren't involved - for now. If we hadn't been shafted over once already in similar fashion when Wilby arrived on the scene I might be less sceptical.

What like KR ?...personally I think selling to a passionate fan is a bigger risk, blinkers and all that.

Why does he not accept mediocrity? He has sacked the odd manager, wow. What success has he had in the last few years?
We are a well run club and with one right managerial appointment we could be where we want to be, I don't want to sacrifice that by selling to someone who a year down the road will hand over to the muppets.

The owner for how long before he sells it on to Allam?
