| I wasn't thrilled with his appointment at the time but was willing to give him my support as fan of Hull Fc and give him a chance. Was even less thrilled when he was offered an extension after a very poor showing in the tenure so far.
For me the club got it wrong and should have got rid of the whole of the coaching set up and started from scratch instead of appointing the assistant who had failed along with the 2 head coaches he replaced after being sacked.
Stats dont lie when you look at his % ratio against Kear & Sharp and Agar has the poorest return.
He's had 3 seasons to show signs of improvement at the very least and we have seen little of this and still see the same old failings seasons down the line. Things have changed quite abit with regards, players, coaching staff hell even the trainers yet one thing has remained constant and that is Agar, he has been here through all the failings yet still seems immune to the bullet even though his record sucks.
He has shown he is tactically inept, seems to have no ability to change things if an opposong team gets the upper hand, his interchanges still leave us all baffled etc.
The BOD are also very deluded if they think that scrapping for 8th place is "exciting" according to our illustrious leader and acceptable, it isnt it bl00dy pathetic and an insult to the club and fans.

| I'm not happy with the fact that he is our coach. Whilst I'm sure that he's a decent guy and does try his best, I don't think that he's up to the task and I don't think that the club will go much further under his tenure. Whilst some things were beyond his control - like the injury crises that we've had - there were still many things that haven't been sorted that are blatently obvious to the fans (such as our right-side-defence being shocking 3 years down the line).
Like others have said, tactics have been his weakness. If we're losing, nothing gets changed up and if we go into halftime losing I don't see him as the person to deliver an inspiring teamtalk to rally the players up. We also have to be one of the least consistent teams around, too.
Interchange wise, he's sometimes okay but sometimes baffling. Against Salford Sam Moa was about to be brought on with 30 seconds to go (but there wasn't the oppotunity and the hooter went before he could get on).
I think there's just 1 question to be asked: Have Hull, as a side, improved since he took over? For me the answer is 'barely'. He's made some good signings - O'Meley for example - but hasn't had the ability to gel the players together in a way to get the most from them, meaning that we are perennial underachievers.
Feel kinda sorry for the guy but I just don't think that he's right for the job. The only time that I've seen the players motivated because of him was when he was being slagged off in the press.

I agree with that...Agar/the coaching set up as a whole is taking us knowhere fast and its well over due us bringing someone else in,but the coach cannot do much about players throwing ridiculous offloads, missing tackles and dropping ball....the players have to take some responsiblity for some of our performances aswell.

we'll see how they bounce back this weekend. its the coaches job to pick up a team when they suffer a bad reverse. yes the players need to do it themselves but the coach must get them up for the game. its also obvious that the attack needs to be more expansive against the bigger teams - we seem to go into a shell against these

| No and of course like many I never was happy with Agar as a coach. We have all had to endure endless disappointing results, poor/mediocre quality play/entertainment and above all else a BOD who clearly care not, what us the fans think. The papering over the cracks scenario has been exhausted so much that even polycell wouldnt sponsor us now. My family will be yet another family who will not renew our passes unless he is ousted and believe me we go home and away and spend an absolute fortune in the shop per year on merchandise. I have been a fan for many many years and I will remain a fan forever, I will not however "support" in financial terms, another season of the BOD endorsing Mr Agar and his non attributes as Head Coach. I have always lived by the "Any Kind of Weather" mantra but like many "old faithful" pals of mine, enough is now enough. Mr. Agar has, it seems, by way of recent attendances, already alienated some pass holders, most walk ups and by next season a fair selection of the previously "in any kind of weathers". Im praying that surely even a BOD with such a close/personal relationship with Mr. Agar cannot carry the financial loss/ burden of his appointment much longer.

Another one here. Whilst I admire his work ethic and defensive ability, I think he is built up far too much on this board at times.

And it was Agar who brought him in as a leader on and off the pitch. Well the guy can tackle and works hard but so often the thing that we complain about is the lack of leadership. He wasn't on the pitch for long at Leeds but his ridiculous amount of minutes that he's insisted ( or so it seems ) on playing during his time here have not seen us have the direction or the ability to react positively to adversity etc. He's slow and naturally gets slower after an hour or so of battering his body into anything that moves. I too admire his work ethic but he should have been used differently and any positive results of his leadership qualities are not visible to me.

I genuinely wonder how he is viewed by his teammates. There are certain things during his time here that I think suggest favourable treatment and aloofness on his part.

| Where is the ice cream man when you need a positive spin ?
Is he unavailable with the hot weather or is he not posting becoz he doesnt want to join the Agar out gang afterall ? Even he cant keep shouting Agar up after more and more defeats.

He often goes missing for 3/4 days after a crap result (he can't get on here fast enough if they have a good one).

What, like him getting the team together the night before the Harlequins away game to discuss how important it was?
Playing on with a shoulder injury reported to be career-ending?
Making 50 tackles a game?
